Zest at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Way too expensive for the quality.... In the pictures I'm posting you can see the 3 little pieces of pork that cost me $8 with full size garlic cloves in there. Every chef knows you don't do that! The few potatoes you see on the side was $5! Then I got pasta on the side and that was $7 was a little container :( Everything was over $21. A can of Pringles that cost $1.50 at Walmart is $8 in there! There is no justification for the pricing and the quality. It looked like they had frozen chicken tenders in there the other day. The food had not much flavor, or seasoning and the portion size is not worth the price. I could of gotten Cheesecake Factory chicken costeletta for less than I spent in there. People do not all have money at Mayo. Alot of us are out of work and sick and not working our careers anymore. This place has nerve to take up space at Mayo and offer this food with those prices! Bundy Cafe is closed till next year and it is either this place or pay $100 for lunch at MBrothers next door. Horrible options... If I can't leave for lunch because of tight appointments, I don't eat until nighttime....

Been at the hospital for about a month now, I NEVER write reviews but this needs to be said. Yall need more then one "prep" person in the last month I can say atleast once or twice a week their prep person doesn't come in so there is no hot food. Their grab and go sandwiches are dry as hell but I enjoy the hot food. How can yall have 10 employees but only 1 knows how to prep. Whoever runs this place needs to cross train the whole staff so if someone doesn't show up you can still have product. When they first opened there were lots of grab and go options that were amazing. Now, selection is limited. Most of the time they are out of many things. When ordering from the menu the sandwich selection sounds amazing, but are not great - the Bahn mi was terrible, no flavor and dry. If it is offered, it should be more authentic. In addition, it takes forever to get checked out, especially if someone in front of you ordering coffee...they need someone strictly to cash out grab and go items.
