We chose Ciro's as a place to eat because of its location and good reviews. 4 different families were meeting there from NY and NJ. As one of us was in a wheel chair, Ciro's was perfect because there was a ramp for entering, space at the table was left for the wheelchair, and the bathroom was wheelchair accessible. There were a number of wheelchairs in the restaurant. The restaurant lived up to its reviews. The waiter was perfect for us, as he let us chat and catch up before getting our order, did not rush us, was polite and professional as well as helpful. Our food was served in a timely manner. despite how crowded the restaurant was. The food was delicious, from the rolls and pizza-like bread to the soup and salad to the entrees, and the desserts were fabulous. Those that ordered the mushroom corn chowder enthused over it, I loved my salad, our entrees included Chicken parm, chicken francese, cheese ravioli, lamb chops, and chicken with broccoli. All were excellent. Those that didn't finish could take theirs home. Our desserts included the chocolate volcano cake (beyond delicious) and rice pudding which delighted the taste buds. Can't recommend Ciro's highly enough. While we were able to chat, the room was noisy because there were a lot of patrons including a number of large groups all enjoying each other's company. We appreciated having a table in the corner. As we were 7 people, a service charge was added to the bill automatically. You were able to give an additional tip if so desired. There is a charge to use a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped in this past Tuesday for a pizza at the bar. He had been going through radiation treatments down the road during April and May. We made it a habit once a week to stop in Ciros for a pie and a glass of wine after his treatment. We were trying to make the most of an unfortunate situation. Tuesday we were back in town for a follow up appointment. We decided to do our traditional pizza date afterwards. When we got there there was a man sitting at the bar. We ordered our pizza and had a glass of wine while we waited for the pie. The gentleman at the bar started talking to us about soccer. There was a game on the tv. The conversation was fine. Then our pizza came. At this point you would think most people would allow you to eat your dinner. The entire time we were eating this guy rambled on. He told us he was friends with the owner and he was the “promoter” for the restaurant. He talked and talked and talked. He was also talking about his horse racing days and was including some uncomfortable details. I finally asked him if the horses liked be treated badly. He continued to ramble on. I have to say to the owner - if this guy is promoting your restaurant he is doing a terrible job. He completely monopolized our meal. The bar tender was clearly uncomfortable. I even wrote a note on our bill that the guy was a pain in the butt.
I hope the next time we go back he is not at the bar. We have already decided if he is - we will leave and...
Read moreOn 2/21/25 my daughter had her wedding reception upstairs in the large room. I will start with how wonderful it was to deal with Mr. Ciro. He is kind and a very accommodating person. He went well beyond what I expected. From catering to every small detail my daughter asked for, to us forgetting to order the color napkins till the night before the wedding.Sure enough he had the napkins she needed when we walked in. Now on to the staff. I had many compliments from the wedding guest on how efficient the staff was. They were there to cater to our every need. They were polite and were flexible to how we wanted our courses served. They were quick to refill drinks and clear the table for the next course and you barely noticed they were there. My greatest respect goes out to them for how well they did their job. This shows real pride in your work. And last I must talk about the food. If you’ve never been here for dinner, I recommend you try it. The food was outstanding. We had a five course meal, starting with an appetizer. Followed by pasta, then salad, then the main choice. Then there was cake but we had our own desserts. Each course was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it! I am so glad we chose this restaurant for our big day. Thank you all for making our day absolutely perfect. You are true...
