Food wasn't frozen beforehand, everything is extremely fresh. Confused why there's a lot of comments saying otherwise, we came in at 2am after work. Met an owner who complimented my truck before even introducing himself which I found to be very respectful and a nice convo starter. We then spoke almost the entire time we ate, waitress was amazing. Super sweet Danielle I believe her name was, she kept us entertained and even told us of other items that looked extremely appetizing, I only ordered a mushroom and swiss burger and my lady ordered a basket jalapeño cheeseburger, we tried each other's burger, but when they brought our food out the owner had decided to give us free fries and even let us try out their nachos cheese sauce, the jalapeño burger isn't that spicy which is amazing for people who cant handle extreme spice, as for me I love spice, the nacho cheese was absolutely friggin' amazing. The best nachos cheese ive ever had, the mushroom and Swiss is phenomenal, i rarely eat with extra salt or pepper and in this instance I also didn't need them and I love that, flavor was spot on and the texture was amazing, you will literally taste how fresh the food is! Nothing was off. The vibe of the diner was old-school and welcoming. Almost like a family members kitchen/ dining room. I loved it made me feel at home. And to be taken such well care of at 2am is crazy. Most servers are drained tired and lazy, but our waitress was uppity happy and catering to us like a pro. Disappointed with our experience at Rockin Rob’s in Janesville. The place looked really fun and inviting from the outside, but unfortunately, things went downhill quickly. Upon entering, there was an unpleasant odor in the restaurant. I ordered a bottled soda, but it was warm. When I asked for a cup of ice, the cup they gave me was visibly dirty.

The food was also a letdown. The fries were battered, which wasn’t indicated anywhere on the menu — I don’t eat gluten, so that was a problem. The burger I ordered was so salty I literally spit it out. My husband didn’t even try his burger after seeing my reaction. He did try a fry and had the same reaction — the batter didn’t work for him either.

We spoke to the manager about the issues, but were met with attitude rather than understanding. He questioned how my husband could judge the burger without trying it, and implied we were just trying to get out of paying. I explained that we came to try a new local spot, but the food simply wasn’t edible for us. I even offered to pay for the soda, but in the end, he said we didn’t have to pay. I did however pay for the sodas anyway.

Unfortunately, the encounter with the manager was just as disappointing as the food. Unprofessional and dismissive. We were really hoping for a better experience. Based off our experience we do not recommend...

I never leave bad reviews before I give it a second shot, but this time, I really dont think there will be a 2nd try. I paid over $21 for a meal for JUST ME! I figured, well the pictures online look amazing, hopefully its worth it! I also had thought I ordered for delivery but realized after I got the receipt email, that it was actually pick up. I called to see if I could switch it, and was told no! I was then told it would take an extra 25 min for my order to be ready for pickup. When I went to pickup I was handed my diet coke which was warm and not refrigerated. (No one wants warm soda with hot food... but wait.. the food wasn't even warm, it was cold!) I ordered mozzarella sticks as my side, marinara was no provided!! I ordered ketchup and ranch, also not provided! The mozzarella sticks were so over cooked and cold, that they rubbed the roof of my mouth raw! The burger was not at all good.. it was seasoned with too much pepper, and only tasted like pepper. I always want to support local restaurants but this is not one that I'll be coming back to. The price and the taste and service are not there! I sincerely hope you give it a better shot and rise above! Janesville is fully of many delish local restaurants and you have heavy competition. Good...
