We called and checked timing of service as we had somewhere to be at 745. We were told timing is an hour to an hour and half for a 2 person table. Perfect. Made our reservation at 615. Showed up at 6 and were promptly seated.
Server came over. I asked specific questions about a couple appetizers and he skirted the answer by saying its really good, or listing meat as an ingredient. What meat? We made our orders by 6:07. They were busy. Which is okay. I understand. App came out, and the herb bread appetizer was amazing. And the server let us know he was going to wait to put the food until after the appetizer got there. Perfect works for me. Appetizer got there at 615. And salads wete out by 625 the honey jalepeno dressing is awesome too. But salads were gone by 630. Then we waited 35 min. We either needed to go get food somewhere else or needed our food then. So i said something.
At this point we had noticed that there were 2 servers foe 15 tables. Okay i get it. Maybe short staffed because a server called out (at least i hope so). But our server went to get the manager. And it was the other server. The "manager" came over and asked how long it had been since we placed our order. Our server cut in and said 15 minutes. If it had then he forgot to place our order. If so say tell me. Dont lie about it. We had been sitting for an hour since our order was placed. They ran to get our food out. And dropped the ticket half off but didnt even talk to us. Just rushed around.
My wifes steak was over done. And they forgot the extra brocolli we ordered. Didnt have time to get it corrected. Food may have been better had we not waited so long.
Table behind us sat when we got our salad and and got their food 2 minutes after they rushed ours out.
Good thing we were 1 time visitors to jefferson city and dont have to make a choice about where to...
Read moreMy 12oz ribeye tasted and smelled a bit strange. I reluctantly finished it because I figured it was fine. Shortly after leaving, our leasurily drive to Walmart turned into an Indianapolis 500 speedway race to get to a toilet as soon as humanly possible. My 150 dollar meal unfortunately did not stay with me long. I would also like to add this was my first time eating at this establishment. We went solely based on the positive google reviews. The whole experience seemed a bit strange. The restaurant looks to be in run down residential area with a questionable apartment complex on the backside of the building. (Park where you can see your car) The wait staff seemed quite overwhelmed and lacking experience. At one point the manager berated an employee for not answering the phone quick enough. The head chef exited the kitchen many times in basketball shorts. The presentation of the food seemed pretty lackluster for the prices. I would compare the food and service we received to a Perkins or Dennys restaurant. No way I could justify the experience today for 150 dollars. And I'll admit the manager running around did look like he was trying his best. But there has to be a more honest recent review on here. I felt shamboozeled and had a bathroom emergency...
Read moreThis was probably one of the worst restraunts I have ever been to. Or at least top 3. I usually dont post negative reviews as you can see from my history. Here is a summary on why. First off I lost count how many times the microwave went off. I got the penne shrimp/crab, the sauce was literally watered down and not of a cream viscosity as a cream based white sauce should be. The sauce was also not made in house. And I got around 6 shrimps with "crab" which ended up being fake crab and not even alot with it.
The burger was not a Burger. It was basically just ground beef mashed together with cheese on it served with 2 pieces of toast. For $13.99 you'd expect an actual burger not a Patty melt. (The toast had been charred and was the generic sandwich bread you buy at the store.
The calamari. The calamari unfortunately was overly battered and mush. It's really REALLY hard to mess up calamari guys.
Please save your self $20 per plate and up towards $30 per plate. Go somewhere else and have an enjoyable evening. This place will not...
