I have been going to the Texas Roadhouse restaurants for years. I travel a lot and this is my first visit to this location. Sorry to say this is the first time any visit has been below 4 or 5 stars. Sure there have been mistakes but they were always corrected very quickly and handled professionally. That wasn't the case this time. It started strong as the wait was estimated at 20 - 25 mins but was only about 10. Once seated the hostess told us they were out of clean silverware and it would be sent out as soon as it was rolled. Turned out to be untrue. 2 tables were seated next to us after we were and they had silverware when they were seated. The server took our drink orders. Delivered our drinks and we ordered food. I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea(LIT). IDK what the deal was but this was only sours mix with a shot of coke and a slice of orange. One pint of heartburn basically. The server returned with our salads and I let her know the LIT wasn't good. She took it to be remade. At some point the server had returned to inform me that they were out of my ordered item, Filet Medallions. So I had to pick something else. I ordered a Dallas Filet, so they weren't out of filets. Must have just been the Medallion part they ran out of. Someone different arrived to deliver the drink. Given historical visits, I assume it was a manager. Since she did not introduce herself I really can't say for sure. My wife asked her if we could get silverware as we already had our salad for about 10 mins at this point. The drink person said Hold on, try the drink first. She was pretty short and her face was expressionless, so she clearly was not happy. Now our silverware was being held captive until I tasted the drink. I did, then stated it seemed slightly better but still mostly sours mix. I suppose "slightly better" was good enough. The drink person disappeared without a word. No apology, no promise of silverware, or salutation at all. I know places like to put their spin on mixed drinks but let's be honest, call it something else if you aren't going to follow the traditional drink. I have had them at the Roadhouse in the past also. This wasn't it. Sooo, we're STILL sitting waiting for our silverware, our salads just wilting in front of us. We had to flag our waitress down and ask for silverware again. Finally about 5 mins she returned with it. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. While our server wasn't a direct cause of most of these things, she should have noticed at some point that we did not have silverware and kept us informed with an ETA. With so many things going sideways we didn't ding the servers tip because honestly, it seems like perhaps the operation is out of control of the management here. Maybe the managers are new. IDK. I hope they get...
Read moreI am utterly stunned by the recent experience my mother had at Texas Roadhouse. If I could leave negative stars I would. Throughout my two decades in customer service, I've never felt compelled to leave a negative review, understanding the challenges that come with the job. However, what transpired is simply unacceptable. My mother, who was treating herself to what she felt was a special dinner, a steak dinner, before undergoing chemotherapy for stage 3 cancer, She ordered a steak meal to go to eat in the comfort of her own home. Despite living just a short distance away, the steak she received was not what she ordered and was poorly cooked. This was meant to be a comforting meal before her treatment, and it deeply saddened her that it wasn't what she had hoped for. She bravely reached out to the restaurant to express her disappointment, hoping for a remedy. Initially, they were apologetic and offered to correct the mistake. However, upon her return home, she found herself facing the same disappointing situation again. It was disheartening beyond words. What followed was even more distressing. After arriving back home my mother decided to call in again. She explained her situation. This time with the details as to why she was choosing them and the dinner. After it was all said and done the manager, unbeknownst to her, left the phone line open and proceeded to MOCK her situation with their colleagues. When they realized their mistake, they abruptly ended the call, leaving my mother feeling utterly humiliated and questioning whether she had done something wrong. I want to make it clear that my mother is an incredibly kind and selfless individual, always putting others before herself. For her to be treated in such a callous manner during one of the most challenging times of her life is utterly reprehensible. To the manager who thought it appropriate to belittle a cancer patient. I hope you read this and truly hope you realize the profound impact of your actions. Your insensitivity has not only wounded a courageous woman but has also shaken her faith in humanity during a time when she needs support the most. In any interaction, especially with someone facing a significant battle, it is crucial to show empathy and compassion. Your behavior not only fell short of this but also exacerbated the emotional burden my mother is already carrying. You should be ashamed, and I hope you carry this with you forever. I implore you to reflect on the responsibility you hold as person and a professional. Uplifting all regardless of their situation, rather than tearing them down. Remember, you have the power to make the difference in not just someone's day...
Read moreWe have used take out twice. Our first time was for my husband's bd and was a surprise. I ordered earlier than actual pick up time. I got appetizers to 2 types of desserts. We had add-ons and removal from salads to steak (all that showed was options on online menu) We had extra dressings, mushrooms & onions, extra this and minus that. I had our daughter pick it up and it was ready. When I started pulling everything out and putting on plates; in bowels; on potatoes etc., by time I was done everything I had ordered was sent. No missing anything or wrong items. It was a great bd for my husband who got the big T-bone. He was surprised and we were very happy with our meal. 2nd time I ordered carry out it was not a early order and everything was repeated correctly back to me. When my husband brought it back he did not know what was to be in there except Steaks salads etc.; unfortunately a few things were missed. However, they were little things so I did not call them. The food was delicious no dessert or appetizers this time however, we had left overs. The people that handle carryout are great, helpful with the best attitude. EVEN despite the few missing things. The Steaks are cooked just right and taste amazing. I love the mushrooms and onion. Shrimp was great, salads are crisp and you get a good size bowl. Desserts are great. The T-bone is worth the money, the strips or sirloin 8 oz is wonderful and if it was not for the taste, being cooked poperly and knowing Covid; I have no complaints. Longhorns is a little lower and good but I like how we can add-on to our food for a very reasonable price if any at Texas Road House. Birthday is middle of next month so maybe I will get a surprise like my husband. Recommend highly. I have not dined inside yet so I cannot comment. But carry out are great people, nice, accommodating& personal. Might check bag a little better but things happen and it was regarding condiments. Food was perfect. Were having problems with website to order on line but maybe fixed. I would like a little bigger potatoe especially with smaller...
