We come here once in a while because it's the only place open in this town serving food later than 9pm.
BUT!
The longer time goes on, the more I realize I'd rather go through drive-thru than waste $50 on a meals for 2 here. $20 for wings and they come out dry, half sauced and the sauce has a dry layer like it's sat under heat lamps. The boneless tasted like they were refried from an earlier mess-up order. It was tough, chewy, and extremely crunchy (I'm a chef btw. I can spot the BS when plates come out). I wouldn't even be complaining about this meal if I wasn't told that the ovens blew fuses and were down last night and that's why I couldn't get buffalo Mac & Cheese. That's fine. I eat everything under the sun, it's kind of a job requirement, honestly. I don't complain about food cause I understand deeply how it can be. But when a good place loses its edge I don't think I can keep quiet for very long.
Every time we go here, there are MULTIPLE beers on tap that are completely out, or the food can't come out because of equipment malfunctions after you order (this has happened more than once for us, btw, and no server has ever warned us prior to ordering. Suspicious huh?), And when food does manage to reach your table, it's less than what you hoped for.
Side note for corporate offices, you guys need to rethink your plating situation. Sending out food on what looks like oven trays looks like you aren't even trying anymore. There's way too much landscape on those trays for the amount of food being presented. It's almost embarrassing for the server to set the food down. Looks like you get ripped off of portion sizes. Oh! And by the way, why tell customers that the ovens are down and then send out food on oven trays?
I usually don't write bad reviews as you can tell from my profile. but when you ask for a manager-on-duty and are told there are none on tonight bc it's slow... Yeah, right. Corporate doesn't do that. Period. I've been in the industry too long to know that...
Needless to say, this is most likely our last attempt to give a benefit of the doubt to this restaurant and try once more. It's just not...
Read moreBoneless wing Thursday 1/7/16 at 8pm. I ordered boneless wings, $0.70 per. "That sounds really good, I'll talk 15 honey bbq, and could i get those wet (saucy) please, and a side of mango jabanaro." The bartender (not a very friendly "little" lady) was taking my order and said, "not a problem." About 7 minutes pass, and here comes my wings. They weren't wet, they were kinda dry actually, but I didn't say anything. I bit into my first wing and it was warm and hard, not hot and moist as they should be. So I caught the attention of the bartender and told here, "these wings aren't fresh, could I get some that are." Bartender, "yep" and in about a minute, maybe less she returned with fresh wings, hot and steaming (not wet as ordered, but fresh). She grabbed my empty, $3 glass of sweet tea and went and gave it a refill. I ate my crunchy dry, but fresh honey bbq wings, and drank my $3 tea. Then I sat with napkins in my serving container/boat and an empty glass of tea again. After about 5 minutes I said, "could I get my bill please." I paid, tipped, and left. If you wondering, was it busy? Absolutely not! I don't think there was over 15 customers in there at any time during my visit. Actually a little waitress wearing a green bay packers #12 Rogers jersey said something to me about how dead it was, and I replied, "everyone's broke from...
Read moreThis will be my last time going to this BDUBS. Everything I ordered was wrong, service was horrible and the manager was a huge B. I said everything is wrong, ordered Nachos, no sour cream ( highly allergic and told them and no cilantro..had tons on there) It took awhile.to get a replacement and replacement was cold and was sitting back there for awhile. I ordered 40 piece combo and waiter brought out a 6 piece for 2 people. The 6 piece wings were cold and one was covered in feathers and then smothered in bbq sauce. When I told manager what was wrong, she gave me an attitude and told me what do you want me to do about it.. cause I can't do nothing. We came in to see the Dteelers game and so did 2 other families next to us and place was pretty dead.. they wouldn't turn Steelers game on near us. 1 small TV by bar and 1 small TV in corner had it on but 3 tvs above us had exactly same game on and 1 TV had womans volleyball on a Sunday during peek Football time. We asked manager if could put game on near us and other families and we...
