We tried the new Steel Grill 51 for breakfast and it was very good. I tried the Yinzer, and even though I am not usually a person who likes to mix her food, the combination of pierogies, kolbassi and scrambled eggs worked! Loved it. Hubby had the scrambled eggs and a giant blueberry pancake which was good. Our only complaint, particularly about the pancake, was that the food, which came out hot, cooled quickly, making the pancake and scrambled eggs just OK by the end of the meal. Wishful thinking that they could have come on heated plates. Cute decor, plenty of help, servers were attentive. We were seated at a booth right next to the prep area behind a high counter and right in front of the coffee bar and it was very noisy and would have preferred the back room or to be closer to the window for a little less noise. All that said, can't wait to come back...
Read moreBig disappointment, my biscuits and gravy was ice cold; the “gravy” looked, smelled and tasted like instant chicken gravy with a little bit of sausage in it. Also if you want to be a breakfast place you need to get rid of the frozen “hash brown” patties and get some real fresh hash browns. In short the food was not good. The prices were a little high for the amount and quality you get. The waitress was above average, the food came out quickly orders were correct, drinks were filled often and she was pleasant and not hanging around the table too much. I will only mention this because it asks me to rate the atmosphere. I gave it 2 stars because the place is shabby inside and out, rotting block outside, peeling wallpaper and sagging ceiling inside. Aside from new flooring and lots of lights it looks like nothing was fixed up from...
Read moreBathroom was filthy and is old, was clearly not renovated. It was not busy, but the server took a long time and was rude. The food was lukewarm. The website says affordable prices but omlettes don't come with a side, just toast, so you pay almost $4 more for potatoes, which makes it more expensive than a dennys omlette. Dennys and ham n eggers don't charge for egg whites either and potatoes are included. But egg whites are 1.75 and potatoes are 3.75 to add to an omlette. But the potatoes weren't good, barely cooked through with little flavor. I was hopeful for this place but disappointed. There is still an old smell/aroma in the place as well. The parking lot was not renovated and is very rough and needs work. Place didn't seem...
