Unfortunately, a Disappointing Experience

This is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a negative review for a business.

I had high expectations for Little Nick's based on the online reviews, but sadly, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.

We arrived at 7 PM and were served their "freshly squeezed" lemonades, which tasted extremely artificial and overly sweet—nothing like what was described on the menu. We couldn’t even finish them. The garlic bread that followed was just okay.

Then came the long wait: nearly 50 minutes for the two soups we ordered. We were honestly about to leave when they finally arrived. Unfortunately, the clam chowder was a major letdown—watery, bland, and tasting more like milk than soup. After that, we decided not to stick around for the rest of the meal.

What’s worse is that the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, yet we noticed several other tables also waiting a long time for their food.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. If Little Nick's wants to maintain a good reputation, they seriously need to improve both their customer service and food quality. I hope they take this feedback constructively, as there’s potential—but a lot of work...

Just wow, don’t even debate if you should try this place- your mouth, body, & spirit will thank you lol!

Everything is amazing and made fresh & I’m a picky eater! My husband usually doesn’t have much to say but he even said “I don’t remember going anywhere with food that good.” We got- Mozzarella sticks: fresh & the quality of cheese there on all their food is rich & high quality!

Stuffed mushrooms: which weren’t even on the menu & the chef just made me some she thought I’d like and it came with an amazing side salad that i couldn’t even believe- candied walnuts & blue cheese, stop!

Fresh bread with fresh garlic!! (I think that just comes with the food & we also tried their homemade balsamic & oil.duuuddde!

Meat Lasagna: again with the rich mozzarella, garlic, & sauce

Stuffed crab flounder: the pairing of this meal is beyond perfect. The light flounder with the crab stuffing, lemon sauce & spinch with rice & julienne veggies!

Homemade kettle chips: every chip crispy and sliced perfectly!

Needless to say we ordered way too much & have a large bag to take home!

Can’t wait to go back and bring family & friends! The chefs there...

little nickys changed our lives. we entered as a group of 13 world weary camp councillors and left reborn. we had no way of knowing how much we needed little nicky’s until now, but need it we DID. amy’s hospitality is exactly what we needed half way through a summer away from home, it truly felt like being wrapped up into a new family. the chef whipped up some homemade garlic aioli (that was not on the menu, and she hadn’t made before) simply because i asked if they had any. it was TO DIE FOR. as was the homemade lemonade, the tirimasu, the pizzas and everything else that landed on our table. we’ll be well fed for the next week because of their incredible portion sizes, and i’ve never looked forward to a week more. oh also they served the best free table bread i’ve ever had. we love you amy, we love you little nicky’s. if you start a cult we will join....

CALL GROTTO , CAMBIOTTIS, TUSCANA… any other pizzeria in town to save your money. Everything at this pizzeria is just alright. Realistically no customer in NJ is going to be waiting 50+ minutes for a SINGLE average tasting plain pizza pie. Thats just not reasonable for anyone. Called in at 6:27 to order my SINGLE plain pizza pie and am finally now walking out at 7:15. Arrived at 7:01 and they told me give it 5 MINUTES! The owner or whoever the person is that is responding to the reviews thought i only had to wait 5 minutes… what is this place?(They changed their response and NEVER offered me a soda they couldn’t wait for me to get out) Pizza not cut either… wtf is this place doing?alright so pizza completely undercooked… this is supposed to be a slice of pizza

Ample amount of food and cozy outdoor dining right across from Lake Hopatcong. We did a takeout order, but stayed for their patio atmosphere. Ranking each dish out of a 10 scale. Pizza slice 9/10 perfectly cheesy Lasagna 7/10 too soupy (came with side salad and garlic bread) Panini 8/10 average, but well put together. Nice added touch was the surprise pasta pesto salad. Motz sticks 5/10 could be more cheesy Overall, a hidden gem in Lake Hopatcong. If you’re in the area consider this place for takeout!

This restaurant falls short of expectations considering how many times it has been recommenced. The last meal we had was chicken francaise and Marsala. The Marsala was bland and the chicken francaise was not typical. It was not a lemon butter sauce, rather a very heavy oily cream sauce. We actually couldn’t eat it because it was so greasy and tasted spoiled. I don’t want to give up so I’ll try one more time. Hopefully I’m just ordering the wrong things. The atmosphere is nice. Delivery can be slow.
