I can't tell you how good the food is because this is the 2nd time I've been here on a Saturday & not gotten what we wanted. Showed up at noon the first time and they were sold out, which we thought was nuts because I've never been to a bagel place that was sold out of bagels. Went today at ten and thought surely they'd have some. Nope. Only a few plains left. So we got plain. Then after we had ordered they were out of the cream cheeses we wanted. Then once we got the bagel it really wasn't that great - if you've had a really good bagel before you know what we're benchmarking these against. The disappointment and frustration of not getting what we wanted isn't worth driving out of the way. Even our five year old thinks it's insane a bagel place runs out of bagels.
We wanted to support this place so bad, but are finding it tough to. I just tried providing feedback to the staff and they just talked over me telling me how hard it is to make bagels and keep things in stock. Einstein's it is! Might as well pay less money to get a sad bagel sandwich with a microwave egg.
Also, Ozark Bagel Company, we recommend doing a research trip to Charlottesville, VA to check out Bodos Bagels if you aren't aware of them. They are a Charlottesville institution, there is always a line from 6am through the lunch hour, and have never run out of bagels. Also, if you are going to consistently run out of bagels, could the online hours be updated to show that bagels likely won't be there...
Read moreThis is the second time that I wanted try to come to this location while driving to Fayetteville, (I usually go to the one on Walton) and for the second time I saw something quite disconcerting regarding the way they prepare their bagels, that really made me turn around and leave. I have never seen this happening at the Bentonville locations (or at least I hope so) which makes me think it's not the company normal practice. If you order a breakfast sandwich to have in store, they microwave your bagel WITH the whole plastic basket/tray in the oven with it, before bringing it to your table (those little oval plastic baskets traditionally used for subs and wings). Am I the weird one to be grossed out by the idea of microplastic particles migrating in my breakfast sandwich first thing in the morning??? I am sure I am not, because I have never seen the other locations doing the same. But if this is their standard practice they'll never get our...
Read moreI had really high hopes for this place. The bagel was alright... absolutely nothing special. Ordered it with egg and cheese... and they microwaved it? I was expecting.. for the price, to have a real egg... but it was literally, Kraft cheese and fake egg like at McDonalds... microwaved, right in front of me. No cream cheese or anything.. just dry bagel, microwaved egg and kraft cheese. The bagel itself was smaller and not as thick as I would have expected it to be. I really wanted to like this place and support... but we...
