Went there for the first time in a couple of months (FEB 12 2019 @ 8:30pm) and honestly I'm going to be taking my business to Casa Blanca in Joliet instead. Went there with a group of friends and we all were aware from previous experience that they don't do separate checks no matter what. We decided to order separately, pay in the front, get our food, and just sit at a table and just have a nice dinner together....definitely not. Right off the bat when we told the server what our plan was his attitude changed immediately. He began to tell us that if we didn't dine in and order on one check only they would not bring anything that we needed (limes, napkins, forks, etc.) which we found quite strange but decided that we would just make sure to get those things ourselves. He then began to write our orders down to make it easier for the cashier but even when he was doing that he was incredibly rude. He was getting frustrated because he would ask us a question and we wouldn't answer immediately.I told him I wanted a torta with breaded meat and then proceeded to ask me what kind and I repeated my order to him and he was me again what kind to which I began to tell him again and before I was finished talking he interrupted me, raised his voice and said that he was asking me what kind of meat I wanted not what i wanted.....like....he couldnt of just asked me the first time what kind of meat i wanted instead of making this difficult for all of us??? I was in literal awe that someone would be so rude to a PAYING customer. Once we sat down and waited for our food to come out he had the audacity to give my friend her tacos and carelessly throw her the plastic fork and walked away. More friends kept arriving and he started to even get more annoyed with all of us...We couldn't even eat our food in peace because we just all felt so uncomfortable. Luckily that night there was a nice waitress who would swing by the table and ask us if we needed anything... she wasn't even in charge of our table and still went out of her way to help us. I wish I could give this restaurant at least two stars for her but the other waiter was just so horrible. In the end, we decided to give all of our tips to the nice waitress. This will unfortunately be the last time i will step foot there I've never felt...
Read moreWORST SERVICE AND FOOD For starters this was one of the worst most unpleasant experiences I have ever encountered. From the moment my family and I sat, until the end of our dinner. It was extremely packed, which is understandable but no type of system. They point at a table and tell you to stand by it or else someone else will take it regardless if it’s your turn. First of all, my dad got his food first, my mom and I received our food 15-20 minutes later, my dad was done with his food by then. Fine. No biggie. We received our food and it’s cold, poorly cooked (burnt). YOUNGEST waitress there dropped off our food, I asked kindly for an additional plate, limes and forks. She stated that it’s so busy that she won’t remember and if she forgets oh well. All this was spoken in Spanish which sounds way harsh then when spoken in English. She had such a nasty, very ignorant attitude, as if it’s our fault it’s busy. She brought back used limes, brought drinks once we were basically finished with our food. We even had to get up and ask for lime and get our additional soda since they forgot. To be very blunt, I’m really not one to complain especially since they were slammed. But that’s no excuse to treat paying customers that way. I’ve actually have never left a negative review but today was it. The attitude, the poor customer service and poor quality food was just the cherry on top. Kudos to the great reviews posted. But not on our end. Will not be dining here again and will be mentioning this to my fellow peers. Would’ve rather ate McDonald’s. It was just so bad I even threw up the food. Ughh just so unpleasant. I hope they train their employees with better customer service and more patience and empathy towards customers. You give respect you get...
Read moreI used to love coming here. I used to come three or four times a week for years. This week I got a mysterious $24.98 charge on my card which doesn't make any sense because the food that I order, a burrito dinner, always cost $12.05. I leave a $5 tip and it comes out to $17.05. It's the only thing I've ever ordered there for years. There's only one lady there that makes you sign the receipt all the others just do it behind the counter and give you the $12.05 receipt and the tip gets added on later. I never thought much of it cuz I figured if they ever tried to change it and rip me off I would just come back in and bust them out and the owner would take care of it. But I was wrong. Somebody working there changed the receipt so that I left an additional $7.83 on top of the $5 I left. I came in there complained had to explain everything 15 times and the manager and owner. The owner wouldn't even look me in the eye. She showed me a receipt of $17.05 and a tip added of $7.83. I paid $24.98 for a $12 meal. Judging by the way they were handling it wouldn't have done any good to go home and dig through my trash and bring in my receipt that said $12.05. There was also another charge on my card for $17.05 that nobody could explain to me. There's definitely credit card fraud going on there. Now I see why they had to hire armed security to guard the door. If you eat there make sure to pay for your meal in cash or you might get mysterious charges on your card later. They lost a loyal customer. There's too many other good Mexican restaurants in town to deal with...
