Mariscos La Laguna — Restaurant in Joliet

Horrible service we had just walked in and right away they wanted to take our drink order couldnt even wait for us to sit and look at the manu. When we did order I asked if they could place my 2yr old order and our appetizer 1st she said yes. I asked a second time just to make sure she understood she said ok. I'm from Mexico so there was no language misunderstanding. All food came out at the same time and then we got our appetizer at the end. Her response was some food is quck to make. When she come back we had finished our food. At that point she asked if we needed anything else. Never came back after waited for 20min til another employee ended up asking what we were waiting for and brought us our check. She even add tip with out asking. Never will I ever go again food was ok but not worth the price very small portions my 9 yr left still hungry and he normally never finish his food at other sea...

I wish I can give it 0 stars it was good service until I told the server my food was super salty that you couldn't Even swallow it she was nice And apologize and took my food away then the manager a lady went to my table and said There was something wrong with your food and I told her my food was salty She was really rude And said well we don't put salt in our food so do you want me to put it in a to go container and I told her no I don't want it you can throw it away like if i didn't want to pay for it so after that no one ever came to check on our table we had to go ask for the check and my meal was still on the bill and I paid for it with no problem I didn't even tell her anything I think she could have handled things differently I had no problem paying for my food that's why i ordered it in the 1st place so I paid for something I didn't even eat Never...

So I went there at 8pm walked in and seen everyone in there with no mask on. I was with a friend sat down and was told that both of us needed mask but everyone else didn't. So I asked why can't we be like everyone else. We didn't get an answer but was told if we didn't want to wear a mask we can eat outside in the patio. So we did and got bitten by bugs and was very unsettling when we ate. We didn't feel welcome even though I spoke proper Spanish. I believe that it was a race issue. We didn't try our main course because they might've spit in our food so we have it to the dog. Worsed fifty...
