EL ARMADILLO GRILL — Restaurant in Jonesboro

We came in from Fayetteville Tennessee for a family reunion here in Jonesboro Louisiana, we are staying at the Beautiful Jimmie Davis state park, we needed to get Supper, we didn't want fast food...I picked Mexican and OH MY GOODNESS!!! Y'ALL have a hidden GEM here....We Love Mexican, and we've eaten it in many places. I wished we would have taken pics...I had the Birra taco made with flour tacos, so delicious 😋 and the Blackberry Margaritas are AMAZING My daughter hathe the Crazy rice with grilled onions and she said it was the best she's EVER had, and it was, I tasted it....My husband had the taco salad and said it was the best he's ever had and the chips, cheese dip and salsa were very good...add the house red tomatillo has a good kick,last but not least, our server was Amazing, only 17, she Ownes a Purple challenger or Charger, she is a wonderful young person, working hard! ...we will come back and always eat here as long as...

The selection was great. The menu is, of course, just about like every other lamex restaurant, but don't let that fool you. They do have a few different items to make them unique. I gave the service four stars only because our waitress must not have been having a good day. But I wouldn't hate on them at all. I've worked for a texmex so I can understand having good and bad days. I still tipped them, of course, because they still checked up on us as we ate. If ur in the area, you know where to go. BEST ROADSIDE RESTAURANT in Jonesboro! We stopped on a Sunday evening, tired & looking for Good Food in a Cheerful Spot. We found both! Bright colors & Mexican music but a quiet atmosphere. 🎼🎶

Chile Relleno was Authentic Mexican cooking! So much chicken inside, I didn't eat it all! Salsa was excelente! On a scale of 1-10...9.5!

Waiter was super friendly (and it might've helped that we spoke Spanish & asked questions 😊).
