Had a company lunch there, we were the only group in the restaurant, the young lady who was serving us was very overwhelmed, stating she was new and had not waited on tables , as well as she had it sprung on her she would be serving us. The management did very little to assist her, walking away at every chance, giving her what appeared to us as very little “training and/or support”. Our food orders were messed up, one person ordered an appetizer and then was told 15 -20 minutes after the order was taken, that that item was not available, but did offer a chance to place another order. Once the item was brought, she never even received the entree she had ordered. When the waitress was informed, she was told just to cancel the order. Instead the kitchen prepared the item to bring to the person who was leaving due to a time conflict, even though she had canceled it. She told the waitress again she did not want it, and told her she asked for it to be cancelled. She should have been given the food item for free, since everyone in the party had already eaten their meal. This was never offered. It wasn’t until another customer in the party asked to speak to a manager, and tell them she shouldn’t be charged for a meal she did not receive, nor did they honor her request to cancel the item, did the manager state she would not be charged. Another customer in the party ordered a baked potato but instead of informing that person of the note that baked potted were not available at the lunch meal, just substituted mashed potatoes without asking the customer. The same customer ordered a steak well done and it was medium. Another customer ordered chicken strips and mac n cheese, the chicken was cooked in the same oil as some type of fish, because it smelled like fish. She received French fries instead of mac n cheese, which had to be brought out separately. Another customer ordered a steak medium rare and it was well done( the two co workers swapped steaks), her green beans tasted like seafood as well. Another customers plate had a orange thumbprint on the edge from what looked like another food item’s seasoning. For the amount of time and money spent, we should have had an outstanding meal, but this was not the case. It wasn’t the wait staffs fault, management and kitchen staff need to do better. All in all, the dining experience was not good, I will say the cheese cake was divine, but I did...
Read moreMe and my husband went here Jul 15,2023 30 minutes before closing. I was curious about trying one of the new drinks. We went, waited about 5 minutes to be seated, not stressing, then once seated we sat for 10 minutes before we were offered a water…. I know the amount of time that passed because I was the time on my phone. The waiter for our section waited on the 4 men in the booth next to us 3 different times during this 10 minutes, providing them with a free beer because the waiter apparently refilled without the patrons request, free queso after the men discussed how to get it free in the absence of the waiter, and more water was offered to them. The manager Tyler, had passed by our table without a glance or acknowledgement 3 times. Carson the waiter eventually came to our booth and apologized stating that they was a mix up on who was supposed to wait on our booth. We ordered and the last call for alcohol had taken place during our wait for service. We ordered some food and I decided I did not wish to stay and asked the hostess to allow men to checkout and wait for our order to go. The hostess got her manager, Tyler, instead and since I was already irritable with the poor service I did not want to talk I just wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as he started talking. He offered us to stay and wait and our food would be out which confused me because I had simply requested my food to go and to pay, I no longer desired to set inside, I was not being heard. Tyler offered apologies and the same explanation that the waiter had offered and a coupon to us as I got keys to go to our vehicle. My husband got the coupon. $10 off $30. I don't know what the true issue was that night. I know many believe certain ethnic groups do not tip well however I like many others I know tip according to the...
Read moreTL;DR: It's a little on the pricey side for Jonesboro, but it's worth it.
First and foremost, service was excellent. My drink never ran dry despite our server being constantly on the move. Food was out so fast that I barely had time to start my beer before it arrived.
The beer was a "Scottish Ale" from High Cotton Brewing. It's currently on rotation, but they also have Lost Forty and Flyway on tap if you love craft brews.
We started with a Houlihan's Queso. The chips and queso were delicious and exactly what you should expect from chips and queso at a steak house.
For the main course, my wife had a stuffed chicken that was creamy and cooked to perfection. It wasn't to my taste but it's hard to argue that it wasn't made well and full of flavor.
I had the Korean Chicken. Beautifully plated, it consisted of a piece of fried chicken on top of rice covered inan delicious and slightly spicy Korean BBQ. I paired it with a cup of Potato Soup that was buttery and garlicky (and had chunks of onion that may deter some).
All in all the food was amazing if somewhat more expensive.
The atmosphere is nice but it may be different during daylight. The lights are low and well aimed so that you can see your food perfectly without having a light in your face. The soft ambient lighting makes sure you can see the rest of your party as well. It's very modern and upscale.
A nice aside, our booth was right next to an outlet with USB ports. While I normally wouldn't advise using random USB ports, they do offer a nice charging option if your phone is dead and you need to send a text or...
