My husband and I came to Kalamazoo for a wedding. Needed breakfast before heading home. We are very concerned about Covid 19 and called ahead to ask about their safety procedures. The answer was enough to give us confidence to dine in. (There is no outside seating) We wore masks in and they had held a booth for us, which was very sweet on a Sunday morning. Julianna's is a typical American diner. The menu is nice. I had the Mexican Breakfast Quesadilla. It was very good and could easily have fed two people. My husband got the Meat Lovers Potato Casserole. He said it was good. It also was a sizeable portion. Just as an fyi, don't order it for the hollandaise as that was lackluster at best, but the dish itself held its own. Very friendly staff. Here's where the lost one star came from....most staff wore masks properly with one exception, a gal consistently had hers on her chin. I watched the same gal, reach barehanded into a container of something (granola or fruit.. something served fresh as a topping) and sprinkle it over an elderly couples food before serving it to them. There wasn't even a handwashing prior. It gave us pause for what was going on in the kitchen. That was improper without a...

Service was extremely quick. i chose a booth, seating myself to see the weather outside, facing the corner of the restaurant. My waitress was very on top of things and I was extremely pleased with the fact that she was quite literally as easily summoned as a turn of my head to look behind me toward the rest of the building. The food was ordered and no more than maybe 5-7 minutes later was already being served. The place was not nearly at capacity but by no means was it empty either. However the price was a bit costly; i did see if i was a senior my meal would have been discounted to less than half of what it was, what with me being a non-senior citizen and all.. i enjoyed it and i didnt feel rushed or in want of anything at any point. To sum it up: service was quick and better than i could have imagined, the place had a very comfortable atmosphere, the food was ok, the prices were kind of expensive unless you...

Had to at least give one star in order to write a review.. Honestly shouldn't Even get that... I came yesterday with my sister, as We sat down ordered drinks and food. The tables was dirty, The server never came back to check on us, Thanks for the no Refills on drinks.! Thanks for taking our plates away, as we used the bathroom 🤦‍♀️ When honestly we wanted a 2 go box & that never happened.. They treated us poorly and not sure why when we are paying customers like everyone else.! Why because we are not regulars??? Justsaying I use to come to this restaurant all the time as a child until I moved to Florida. I thought it would of been nice place for my sister and I to go to sense we have so many memories as kids in here. But WOW things have changed BIG time.!!!!!!! NO THANKS RATHER NOT...! Good Bye 👋 4Ever Juliana's...... Can't believe this restaurant went down hill like it has... Sad...

Service was about the only pleasant part of the experience. The drinks all tasted flat the waitress took three table drink and food order at once which caused wrong drinks at wrong tables. The cheap box hamburger patties with withered brown and black lettuce and the fries that were totally uneatable cause most were over cooked and the rest were under cooked. The macaroni and cheese looker horrible and tastes just as bad. I ordered onion rings and the waitress read back with onion rings and instead brought fries and said I didn't hear onion rings to find out the other table for rings and was supposed to have fries smh... Not ever coming back very dissatisfied and disappointed

Julianna's feels like an old chain restaurant that got shut down and reopened as a family joint. The area is industrial, but Julianna's was cozy and filled with an older breakfast crowd. Our server was hecka busy, but she was cool. The Cinnamon Roll Pancakes were just the right level of sweetness, and the bacon and cheese eggs were cooked just right. I'm pretty bougie in my coffee tastes, but the coffee here was good for diner coffee.
