Dairy Queen Store - Treat Only — Restaurant in Kankakee

Picked up a doordash order the other night. They have signs for the customers to use the drive thru and Doordash and other services to use front window. 1 girl was sitting on a stool looking at her phone and walked over saying I had to use the drive thru. I told her I had a doordash and showed her my phone. The 1st girl said again in a irritated voice... "The sign says drive thru only". Again I said I had a doordash showed her my phone and the 2nd girl walked up and in a nasty tone told me "go to the drive thru and read the signs". I told her the sign says doordash is to go to the front window and she rolled her eyes and walked away flipping her hand in the air brushing me off.

I then went through the drive thru where a 3rd girl answered and when I told her the names of the two doordash deliveries she turned around and started to mock me and repeat what I said to the other 2 girls from earlier working there. I told the 3rd girl that the sign does say to go to the front window and she said, ah well nothing I can do about in a snarky voice. I said I would talk to the owner in the morning and she said "so what, whatever..." and closed the window.

Nice team ya got working there. I have never seen such a horrible group of employees anywhere and I have been to nearly every single store in kankakee...

We ordered an ice cream cake from this location over a month ago to be picked up today. We called in the order and gave them all the necessary information. When we got there today, they had "lost our slip" and did not have anything ready. The employee working there said that he couldn't write on any cakes and someone was going to come in to do it, but we would need to come back later. We had specifically scheduled a pick-up time to align with the start of a party, so that wouldn't work. He was very unsympathetic and did not do anything to try to make it right. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that she was out of town, so it felt very much like no one was in charge. Zero professionalism. Zero responsibility. The Dairy Queen on Station Street took our order over the phone and had our cake ready when we got there 10 minutes later. Will not ever be going to the Maple Street location again again, nor would I recommend...

I always walk with my class of 30 kindergarteners, and spend a great deal of money here. They used to offer a free treat for the teachers with their classes. Last year, they told us we needed to call that morning to let them know, so they didn't give us a free treat after spending $80. Unfortunately , when I called this morning to let them know we were coming, they said they can only do that if we called a day in advance. I wonder what excuse they'll come up...
