won't get into details unless someone really wants to know but booked them for our wedding. booked them 11 months in advance. put down a deposit to ensure they would be there on our wedding day.... time got closer and I reached out to make sure we were all good. tried messaging on Facebook and then through text, on Facebook it showed the message was seen but received no replies from text or Facebook messenger. I thought they were possibly busy so I gave it a few days and tried again... still nothing. I ended up finally getting a reply from someone on Facebook messenger who was confused on the whole ordeal and eventually explained the situation and said that it would all work out and that they were still good with being there for our wedding... some more time goes by I reach out again and this may come as a shock but once again no replies. At this point our wedding is about a month or so out which I wanted to touch base since communication wasn't happening so I was giving plenty of time to get replies. I get a reply again from terrance saying everything is good and will be ready for our wedding reassuring us that they would be there. I then have to text and use Facebook messenger again to reach out. I was eventually text back. i text july 16th, July 30th, August 2nd and again August 16th. finally got a reply on the 16th (Friday) stating I would get more instructions on Sunday. Sunday comes and I get a final invoice but no instructions. I'm not paying the final invoice at this point due to poor communication and no communication on final instructions. in the same text on the 16th I was told everything was on track for the wedding. terrance told me on Sunday that he would call me and dicuss somethings that he wanted to explain. . . I had to basically bother him just to make the phone call happen. moving on to August 22nd still no reply on details (flavors of ice cream, etc...) 24th comes around still nothing. I text again... August 26th comes around and I've had enough at this point. I text again on the 26th and this is the exact text :

"Wedding is in 5 days. Still no communication. I know with life things get busy but still haven't heard back from you regarding flavors of ice cream. . . .should we just forget about it and I should get a refund? I text several times. I've messaged on here a few times. This is becoming more of a headache than anything." no reply I text again on the 27th with simply " how do i get my refund " no reply until the 28th (3 days until the wedding) on how to get the refund. I was given 3 options.... no sorry, no explanation, nothing. the no sorry kills me and this entire experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will NEVER go into rebel again because of this.

to tell someone that everything is good and then not communicate is unacceptable. if they would of just said hey look things aren't good right now or whatever and said we can't do the wedding I would of been upset but I would of understood the situation a lot more then being told oh yeah it's all good and then to not communicate and then just screw me over on dessert for my wedding is a real unprofessional move. beyond aggravated and disappointed.

we've been going to rebel ice cream since they opened the store in kankakee. been to the store in peotone when that opened since kankakee closed.

This place is more than a cute, instagrammable shop. The food and atmosphere were both amazing, and the owner himself was right there making waffle cones and scooping ice cream. Stepping in, it looks like the kind of place you'd have to drive to Chicago or NYC to see. There's beautiful seating, neon signs, and a giant canvas of real ice cream cones. It's next to a lot of other cute boutiques. It's more on the expensive side, so you may not want to go there every day, but it would really wow someone on a first date or be great for special treat. You definitely need to try the waffle cone, it was sinfully good. If you live in Kankakee and havent tried it yet, go ASAP and support this...

First of all, a beautiful ambient inside this shop which is also located in a beautifully decorated “majestic” building on the main street in the middle of the downtown.

Don’t be disappointed if you cannot locate this by using the GPS first time.

A variety of ice creams is available. Also, ice cream nachos and tacos are unique and favorites.
