Got our order wrong did not listen to my wife's order correctly. However food was decent. Really crazy that they don't have a credit card machine. I was charged $3 to eat here from the teller machine they have inside. Because they only take cash here . And they never gave me any money back do the fact my wife's order was wrong. Because the burger she really ordered was a dollar cheaper then the regular Whatarcheeseburger. The large fry we ordered to share looked like a small. Because the table next to us had a small and it was the same size. Very little difference in the fry size here. Chili was not as good as the chili at Whataburger in Mooresville. Footlong hot dog was decent size compared to most footlongs around. Definitely a better footlong than the barbecue places around. However french fries were good. However the fries were cooked to perfection . The people we're pretty friendly that work here. Seemed like they were bothered by the fact they got my wife sandwich wrong. Could have handle it more gracefully. A lot of the Whataburger's could stand some customer service skills training. My wife being a big fan so we have tried all of the Whataburger's around here. The prize goes to the Mooresville Whataburger. For some reason their food always tastes fresh and they seemed to have the best tasting food around. But I will give this one prompts everyone seemed to be working towards a good goal here which is making good fast food. The ones that Mooresville don't act like that but the food's better. So it would be nice to have all of the 2 best Whataburger burgers which is Mooresville food with this one's friendly service. However if you're in Kannapolis or Concord this one is the winner in this area. Mainly because of service and dedication to duty of quality fast food. Unfortunately Mooresville still number one. I will give this one another chance however. I'm hoping they will win their closer to my house. Keep your dedication and striving time will tell. I will agree there Cherry Lemon Sundrop's here are the bomb! Come visit a place that's over 50 years old takes you back to the American Graffiti days. Muscle cars, penny loafers, and leather jackets and high school letter jackets. And of course white socks and Converse. Are as we used to say Chuck Taylors. Happy Days Are Here Again. You will still enjoy this place a lot. Not far from idiot Circle in Kannapolis . Nostalgia for us...
Read moreWhat has happened to What-A-Burger #10?!? I have enjoyed eating at What-A-Burger #10 for over 50 years. Always good food, friendly staff and quick service. Not the case at all on the evening of Thursday, March 16, 2023. My husband and I stopped by a little before 6:00 pm for a quick meal before a 7:00 pm meeting at church. The young man that took our order was very friendly and double checked to make sure he had our order right. From there, it went downhill. The kitchen seemed disorganized and a little chaotic which is unusual. We waited 20 minutes for a What-A-Cheeseburger, Ranchburger, fries and onion rings. We were the only ones in the dining room most of that time. My husband went to the counter twice to ask if they lost our order because we have never had to wait that long here. When we finally got our food, the What-A-Cheeseburger was burnt to a crisp on the edges, the top of the meat was black and very dry. The Ranchburger was also burnt to a crisp on the edges and dry. My husband went to the counter to show them his burger. The woman behind the counter offered to make a new burger. He told her we didn’t have time to wait another 20 minutes because we had a meeting at church at 7:00. I didn’t bother to show her my Ranchburger. Absolutely the worst burgers we have ever had at any What-A-Burger! As we were leaving, the cashier that had took our order apologized for the burgers. I told the woman behind the counter that in all the years I had been coming there I had never had burgers burnt to a crisp like that. Her explanation was they are trying to train new people and they are having problems learning. She did apologize. But, we had to pay for and eat burnt, dry burgers. We just barely made it to the meeting on time because of the issues they were having with the trainees. We left feeling very disappointed with our meal, the customer service and the entire experience. If they had just understood why we didn’t have time to wait for the burgers to be remade and offered to comp us a meal on another day, we would have felt better about this experience overall. As it is, we will not be going back to this location which is sad because it has always been my favorite...
Read moreOk. So this is not the same "Whataburger" from the American West. This What-A-burger is a favorite of the piedmont region of. North Carolina. Concord, Kannapolis, Mt Pleasant, Mooresville.... Drive in and order curb side and the car hop will bring it to you. Expect burgers and fries, tater sticks, cherry lemon Sundrop, and the famous Witch Doctor on the menu. What is a Witch Doctor you ask? It's a drink that begins with dill pickle slices on the bottom of a cup, followed by ice and a mixture of sodas including the local Sundrop brand. Sweet and sour combo. This is where it's at if you're a pickle lover! Don't forget that you can choose lettuce, tomato, mayo, OR mustard, chili, slaw, and onion on your burger. Try the ranch burger and add cheese. For kids you can expect to get a melty grill cheese sammy or plain hot dog. The WAB serves tasty crinkle fries that come in a little tray wrapped with your burger. Yum. Check it out. Should be on Diners, drive ins, and...
