K-Town Pub & Pizza — Restaurant in Kannapolis

We go out to eat with our Children and families every Tuesday evening. We had a group of 7 this week. We are close to this restaurant and have always been very well patrons! Husband was just there at lunch for a slice of pizza.

The way the Manager acted tonight at Kannapolis K-Town Pub & Pizza, We will not be going back. It was also next to harassment and he was quite scary!

My Son's wife was sick, she couldn't come to eat this week, so he ordered her food elsewhere and him a burrito, delivered. Then, he then came to eat with us with burritto in hand, eating. (Which he would have ordered more food and a drink while there)! Tim and I were sitting down with our large table ready for everyone, watching the Space capsule land saving the astronauts on our cell phone (no tv's were showing). We had ordered drinks and an Appetiser and it was already at table. My Son was eating that as well.

My Son was standing up at our table to see the live feed on our phone, when the Manager appeared (out of nowhere), and ask my Son, "WHAT ARE YOU EATING?" My Son said "Burrito". The Manager ask, "WHERE DID YOU GET IT?" My Son said "Chipotle". The Manager got right in his face and said "IF YOU ORDERED FOOD FROM CHIPOLTE, YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED THERE AND ATE IT!" "NOW GET YOUR FOOD AND YOUR DRINK (a water bottle), AND GET OUT OF MY RESTAURANT!" Word for Word! Plus more conversation!

Tim and I both, sort of laughed because we thought the Manager was joking. Tim knows the man and we eat there a lot! But he said he was not joking. My Son ask if he could take it down a level, from scale 1-10, he was at a 10, and the Manager said, "ITS THE LAW"!?????!!! Tim ask what was the law, not having food inside, ok, we were sorry, we could have taken outside and ate at the outdoor dining, But, with him being very boosterous, and so threatening, I said, "OK, we will leave, along with out business and not be back"! I left with my Son called everyone else andsaid we would not be eating at K-Town Pub & Pizza any longer! Tim went to register, which the Manager followed and made sure the waitress rang everything up!

We pay for all our children to eat every Tuesday making it a stress free dinner time for them all. But the Manager was way out of line and way too boursterous and totally in our faces! He was trying to over power my 120 lb Son telling him to take his food and drink out of his business! Not even asking if he could take it to outside tables! Like I said, we had 7 people coming, food, drinks..... appetizers, adult beverages. We do this every Tuesday night! But what a shame the Manager feels he has to treat well paying customers in such a manor! It truly was scary! Tim was totally taken back!

I know we are just 7 people, but K-Town Pub & Pizza's Manager needs to be more mindful of his customers! We were very calm with this, but someone else may not be!

Had our first visit tonight (Friday around 6 pm). Very happy with everything and so excited to have this so close to us - just sad we hadn’t tried it before now. Don’t let the places in this building before this influence your decision to come here - finally something that’s really awesome. We had onion petals and cheese curds as apps, garlic parmesan wings, a pepperoni roll, grilled chicken salad, and a shrimp po boy for entrees - all were amazing, came out fresh and you can tell the dishes are prepared with a care for quality. The place was packed with a wait, but you’d have never known it - service was very efficient and all servers were friendly. Sorry we didn’t get more pictures, everything was so good we dug in quickly.

One potential suggestion - on the pepperoni roll, a little bit of an Italian type seasoning inside and/or on top would make it even more awesome, but would still order...

Since I relocated to North Carolina, I have been on the hunt for the best Burger 🍔 in the Charlotte area, and Eureka! I finally found it! This sweet spot in Kannapolis has the K-Town Smash Burger and it was perfect! Meat was superb and perfectly seasoned, Fresh veggies, melted American cheese, excellent potato bun, and an incredible house sauce that brings it all together. A must try for burger lovers, and this place has other scratch made quality options which I look forward to trying. Service was fantastic , Mira and Chase made us feel comfortable from the moment they greeted us warmly and made sure our first experience was exceptional, and it certainly was! This place has fantastic beer specials daily and they serve wine as well. They have a brick oven for pizza , so I look forward to trying 🍕 next time or Chase’s Sphaghetti...
