CALIFORNIA Charbroiled Burgers — Restaurant in Kansas City

So i called for 2 months waiting for this place to open. I guess they had a pipe burst during the cold. Any who. They finally said they were open so we went. I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers for my guys and a regular cheese burger for me. The burgers were super huge and they tasted good. However, the name is charbroiled burgers, and these burgers were definitely not that. They were just regular flat top fried burgers. Nor were they what i would call a "California Style."They didnt have shreaded lettuce, thousand island dressing, or a sesame seed bun. Also they didnt have all the sides available that they listed on the menu. And again they were not charbroiled for that authentic Cali burger stand taste i was looking for. I still gave it 4 stars because the man was nice, the food was fresh and hot, and it tasted good. Except the fries they were a total miss. I will try them again when they get pastrami and fried zucchini. Which were the items i originally wanted when...

I came upon this place due to an a tragedy with my daughter's car breaking down. It was around 10 pm and he assured my daughter that it would be safe in there lot until we could come get it picked up and towed to her home! He even held her keys so that she didnt have to try and hide them somewhere. We decided to order some food and EVERYTHING was awesome. Very nice gentleman on the phone with me placing the order and with her father when he picked the car and food up! Good business, good food, good people! We will be back. Also I did read some reviews saying the prices were too high and just have to say, what and where isn't too high these days? Their prices are pretty much in line with the rest, but here they are decent, honest people making great food. Id rather pay for this than what you get at the cardboard cut out fast food places around...

The owner is rude! I was the only car there and he assumed I was squatting in his parking lot. He got my attention by banging HARD on the hood of my car. At night, in plain clothes, I didn’t know who he was until I went in to pick up my order. I told him he should treat his customers better and he doubled down saying “how was I supposed to know you were a customer?” I don’t know? Maybe because there was only one order being cooked? And one car waiting outside? The food was really good so shout out to the cook. That’s the only reason they deserve one start. I would never spend my money here again. It was around $20 for a bacon cheese burger, fries, and a can drink.

Also the inside is a mess. I guess he claims to be remodeling. The way it looks inside, he should be doing...
