I am DONE with Charlie D's. The customer service is just horrible. I called in an order so I would not have to wait long. The lady informed me it would be 20 Mins. I arrived at Charlie D's. right at 20 Mins. A couple of other customers in front of me by the time I arrived at the counter it was 24 mins, so I am thinking my food should be ready, well no it was not. The lady at the cash register informed me my food would be up shortly, so I waited patiently, and waited and waited and waited, no food and waited. twenty minutes turned into 47 Mins. I see customers come and go that presented in the establishment much much later than I did. I had two orders of fish only I picked up 2 pieces of carrot cake and oh so wanted one of those extra hot pickles. I eventually put the cake back and left. I did not want to get upset so I cooled down and called back later. The same lady there answered the phone. I informed her I waited 47 Mins for my food, but never received it. She asked my name. I told her. She then stated she called my name several times. Well she did not. I asked her why she not said anything to me as I stood right there in her face. She stated she did not know what I looked like, Really? There is no way you don't at least recognize the SAME person just standing directly in front of you for 47 mins at least you should especially with all that is going on. Scanned that entire eating area and could ID everyone in there and I don't work there. I am done. Ive called in several orders and I can count the amount of times I've "heard" a smile though the phone or felt like I wasnt a bother by placing a call in order. It takes nothing to be polite, say please and/or thank you, nd suggest a drink or dessert. Ive worked in hospitality for years when I was younger and understanding patrons have LOTS of options when it comes to food and how they tip should be reason enough to make all interaction with customers one they will remember for all the RIGHT reasons. Aside from the poor phone customer service this place is a definitive "YES!" when craving fish or great dessert!
Update: My fiance went to pickup our order tonight 1.6.19 at 615pm and the woman at the front desk was silent from the time he walked in until the end when she asked if he wanted bread and condiments, said order total, nd her "your welcome" to him saying thank you. Her body language nd lack of verbal communication was horrible. I understand we all have bad days, work is work.
Update May 2019: Ordered late night and the tall, slender, young woman with dreads had AMAZING customer service despite us being one the last to order takeout before closing. We had to tip her well because she not only smiled, but her interaction with us as late night guest and with my daughter was amazing. Thank you. Food per usual...

Unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing. After realizing the cake we purchased earlier wasnāt placed in our bag, we returned with the receipt. My wife politely asked if we could still receive the cake. The cashier responded with rudeness and suspicion, treating us as if we were trying to get something for free dishonestly. Even after calling the other location and confirming the cake had not been given to us, she reluctantly replaced it ā without so much as a simple āIām sorryā or āThank you for coming back.ā
Instead, she coldly reminded us that sheās a small business and āevery penny counts,ā as if we had tried to take advantage of her business. What made it worse was observing how warmly she treated other customers, while we were met with cold, dismissive service. As we finished our meal and left, there was no farewell, no thank you ā just silence and a clear sense of unwelcome.
This experience left a sour taste, and we will not be returning to this location. I hope this feedback helps address the inconsistencies in customer service that could impact loyal patrons like us...
