Have been to this location many times and the coffee is consistent. The staff are always friendly and timely with orders, so thank you! :) My partner isn't a huge fan of their flavored lattes due to the flavor of espresso being too harsh and it's a bit too sugary for him. I can agree the lattes I've had are too sweet for me so that is why I left 4 stars instead of 5, but when I stick with the cold brews it's just fine for me. I drink a basic cold brew coffee with almond milk so kinda hard to mess up and the espresso gives me a good energy kick so that's a plus! Today I was on the go and got a blueberry muffin and it was so fresh and soft! The sugar on top was so enticing a bee actually helped itself and chowed down before I could finish it all. Unfortunately due to Covid I can't use my own cups, but I keep metal straws on hand and that helps a bit on cutting down waste! Before the inside dining opened back up, Crows has done a great job during this time with providing a contactless screen-protected entrance to order coffees to go. Now that the indoor and outdoor areas are both open they have sanitizer and whatnot available!

Love their coffee. It's better than SB and around the same price or a little cheaper. Discovered them on the economic blackout day where we boycotted all corporations but were allowed to shop small/local business. I've used them exclusively for my coffee fixes since then! Not much for food, just some pastries and they run out a lot, but I'm not going to a coffee shop for food anyway lol. My favorite part is that on nice days, they literally can open their wall and have a seating bar where you're on a stool inside but facing outdoors with a nice big long table to eat or read or work on, it's nice feeling the gentle wind and it's just peaceful. I always order ahead and pickup, makes it super easy, and on social anxiety days I don't have to interact at all because it's waiting for me on the counter.

A cute coffee shop with plenty of seating, the shop was practically empty on a Sunday afternoon. I got an iced caramel latte with oat milk and some form of chocolate chip espresso pastry, I'm not actually sure if it was supposed to be a muffin or a scone but it was tasty! I can't wait to come back when the weather is a little cooler as there is lots of outdoor seating. Pricing seems to be pretty close to some of my other favorite coffee shops around KC. Lots of art on the walls, a skeleton friend (not sure if he's year round or just for Halloween) and two gender neutral bathrooms. Lots of graffiti and writing on the bathroom walls, but I thought it was cool to read. Will definitely visit again!

I've been thinking about writing a review about this coffee shop for a while now, but wanted to give it several tries before doing so because the first experience was not stellar. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt so I wanted to try it a couple more times.

Here are my observations: 1- Every time I have visited, the staff seems indifferent to my presence as a customer. They weren't rude but they also weren't especially excited that another paying customer had just entered the building. They served me and made a decent product, but I typically get a much more cheerful greeting at just about any Scooters Coffee and for sure at Hi Hat at 51st and State Line. Seems like the folks doing the hiring and training need to spend a little more time on the customer experience. In all cases, whether it's Crow's, Scooters or Hi Hat, the staff are on the younger side, but the other two do a better job of helping their staff make the customer feel welcome.

Added after reading other reviews - Zach et al at Crow's. You guys seem to have issues with your hiring profile. I highly recommend that you take these negative customer service reviews very seriously. If it isn't rectified, you will have little to no repeat business. And you know what that means...

2- I like a couple of things at a coffee shop; the ability to have a little whipped cream with my beverage, and the option to have a cold blended drink from time to time. Unless something has recently changed, neither of these are available. I've asked at each visit for whipped cream and the staff tells me, "We don't have any." So I'd suggest they add a blender or two and a few cold blended drinks to the menu, and go out and buy some whipped cream. Even the stuff in the can would be better than not having it available at all.

Finally, let me say that I really want Crow's to be a place I look forward to visiting. It's an important component to the redevelopment of the Red Bridge Shopping Center. All businesses there need to perform at a high level over the long haul to make sure RB stays alive and doesn't drift back to where it used to be. Nice building face lifts and new asphalt are just part of what it takes to revive an old worn out shopping area, and the developer has definitely done a great job in that respect. And there are some great new businesses, like Caleb's, that are doing well. I'd like to challenge the management of Crow's to step it up a notch or two and make sure they are a part of the success of the revitalized Red Bridge center.

So I will make a commitment to drop by at least a couple more times to see if anything has changed. But I'll wait a bit to give them time to work through...

Great location. We have really been needing a coffee shop back in that area. Coffee is mediocre. Atmosphere is great unless the workers decide to kick you out after you have finished your coffee drink. They have very rude employees manning the front, and absolutely horrible customer service. I’ve visited multiple times, and my family members and I have consistently been treated like dirt by totally different workers at different times.

Visit#1. To preface this story, I hate being the costumer that shows up as a shop is cleaning up and closing. But this time I showed up at 8:34pm thinking maybe I’ll be able to get a drink before they cleaned up and closed(9pm). I walked in and asked if they had already started cleaning up the espresso machine and was told that they hadn’t cleaned them yet, so I then asked if I could order a drink. I was rudely told “no” and that they were “about to close”. I was truly shocked that they were willing to advertise that they were open till 9pm, but were willing to tell me that they didn’t want to serve me a drink almost 30 mins before closing and before they themselves confessed they had begun cleaning up. They were very rude and insulting!

Visit#2 2/6/19 1pm My sister went in and asked for a cup of hot water because she had a special tea she liked and had it brought with her. The workers started shaking their heads, and then they began to tell her how rude she was for bringing her own tea. She then explained that she was meeting a friend there and didn’t care for any of Crow’s teas. They stood at the counter and continued to rattle on telling her how rude she was insulting her for about 3 minutes. My sister later said she would have understood if Crow had a the policy not to give away cups of water, but to be called out in front of all the other costumers and told how rude she was and how she is a terrible person for doing something she didn’t even know would cause a problem is unimaginable. They could have very easily And politely explained to her that Crow has a policy that doesn’t allow giving water, instead of public ally bad mouthing her!

Visit#3 Multiple times worker are extremely unfriendly at the register.

I really wish they would hire friendly workers that didn’t act like the costumers were such a pain to serve and nuisance...

average coffeeshop with decent coffee. Hav been here multiple times and each time I order something that is classic/traditional, it is abysmally crafted. Everything from a cortado to a flat white, they have all been equally disappointing. What’s annoying the most is that I ask if they know how to make it, and they say yes. As I watch, the ratio is the first thing I notice being incorrect, but I give them the benefit of the doubt and think that maybe they have a unique technique based on the calibration of their machine and coffee being used. But then I watch them steam the milk. It’s as if they are just steaming it for steaming sake without regard to the proper aeration needed for the particular foam that is typical of the beverages I chose. Each visit, they would just steam it with little movement, and then proceed to just dump it into the espresso instead of layering it. Ordering some of the more sugary concoctions or an iced latte, the drinks are okay, nothing special or unique to them at all. The location uses Messenger coffee from what I saw and I haven’t been overly impressed with them. Overall, this is a decent, yet pricey place for coffee that has an inviting, somewhat spacious interior with patio seating. If you are looking for a specialty coffeeshop with skilled baristas, I would...
