Yesterday we had one of the worse experiences at this restaurant since we moved here from Memphis. We were given a Restaurant.com gift certificate to this restaurant. We were looking forward to trying out the food here since it's not many black owned restaurants in Kansas. We drove 30-40 minutes to this restaurant to be met by a rude lady sitting in the lobby. When I presented here with the certificate she tells me she does not know what I'm talking about she then ask the cook in the back he said he don't know. At that point she tells me that we should come back during the day when the owner is there. We said can you just call the owner we just drove 40 mins and you saying we need to come back tomorrow that was not gonna happen. Once the owner got on the phone he said he had never heard of a restaurant.com certificate but them he states that he told them to remove his restaurant from the list which means he originally lied when he said he never heard of it. The owner said that he would honor the certificate but the lady at the front counter kept cutting him off so he could not tell her how to process the transaction. It was clear that she did not want to do any work or even try learn how to so something new. She had the nerve to tell me she had some tacos for $1, didn't drive 40 minutes for no tacos. It's experiences like this that make it hard to support some black owned businesses. We drove down the street to Wings and Things who had way better customer service and the wings were good the best we've had since moving here. Everything happens...
Read moreWhere is my $1.00 scoop of rotel at? Waste of money. The burgers would actually be decent if I could ever get one that's not served with burnt patties. The chicken tenders are frozen, and heavily breaded. My onion rings were soggy for the second time, and after a $10 meal purchase ($9 without the 1 for rotel) you get a can of soda. How about a fountain drink at least? Not even gonna start on the professionalism of the employees, HA! Uhhh I think I'm over this place. Thanks...
Read moreThe food was good, the young lady who took our order etc was AWESOME! However, the gentleman who was there who may have been the manager was very unprofessional, cursing, was bout to light up a blunt, I guess he saw the look on my face and instantly corrected himself and apologized. Someone was trying to work on blinds with customers waiting. The place is a lil tacky, cluttered and too much hanging out and unnecessary street banter...
