Hana's has been on my radar for about 3 years since I was at an event and their donuts were served. I thought the one that I had was tasty and put them on my list to try. I live quite a ways away from Hana's so I never found the desire to drive past multiple donut shops to get there. Last week I found myself with a bit of time before going to work and I pulled the trigger and drove about 12 extra miles out of the way to get a few to take to work. I ordered 4 different selections and shared with 3 co-workers. We each had a quarter of each, which included a cinnamon roll, a long flaky thing filled with key lime, a blueberry and a red velvet - see photo. Myself and 2 others gave 5 stars to every item! The remaining loser in the group only gave 5 stars to the cinnamon roll and 3 stars to the remaining 3 delicacies- I never did trust that guy! I'll do the math for you - that's 74 out of 80 possible points. The word got out at work that I didn't share with everyone so now I'm on the hook to bring in more. That is a drive across town that I'm willing to make. I would send someone else, but they would probably get lost trying to find this secluded and secretive location and they probably wouldn't arrive back at work with all of the purchase. I do need to keep this relationship with Hana on the down low, because my beloved Donut King in NKC would never understand me seeing...

"Hidden gem". Absolutely. It is off the beaten path and back in a neighborhood. Almost everyone will use their GPS to find it. And when you find it, you will wonder why this place is not on main street with a. Line around the corner.
"Wonderful staff". Listening to the talk between the two employees, I would assume they have a staff of three people. They give you time to make the incredibly difficult selection, they fill the donuts with the filling of your choice, and they know the regulars. Someone cleared them out of donut holes bright and early and when one shared to the other, they knew him by name and description.
"Unique". You request a filled Bismarck and they ask what you want in it. They then go fill it. You can watch it happen. They had six or seven different frostings on sourdough donuts (blueberry, forest berry, etc). They have blueberry fritters. They call their pink iced donut the Homer Simpson. If you "need six" for the family, you will buy eight because you can't make up your mind on a few.
This is a must stop every time we visit KC now. Anywhere west of KC downtown should come here for their donuts. Great Wolf Lodge dad's should come pick up and take back to the room. NASCAR drivers should pack full of these for...
Read moreWorst customer service experience ever. I walked in around 11:52 a.m. to pick up an order from the Too Good to Go app as a new customer. Since Iâm unfamiliar with the app, I came in early to check on the process and make sure I was there before the store closed. I wasnât expecting to pick up my order at that exact moment.
Immediately, the woman at the front desk pointed to the clock and said it wasnât time yet. I tried explaining that Google showed the store closed at 12, so I wasnât sure if I needed to arrive beforehand. She just kept rolling her eyes, pointing at the clock, and repeating, âItâs not even 12 p.m. yet,â without clarifying anything.
I was genuinely confused, and thankfully another employee stepped in and explained that pick-up orders are scheduled for after the store closes to allow time for inventory checks. I understood right away and thanked him for the explanation.
The woman, however, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I wouldnât return to this store under any circumstance. As a new customer, I only came in early to understand the process and make sure I was following the...
