I grew up in the Dotte and for some reason, I had never eaten here. So, today a friend wanted to go there and said it was the best kept secret, with amazing food. Sadly, when I asked for a menu, the blonde waitress said..."we have the buffet or specials listed at the door." Ok. Well, my friend and I ordered. Her food comes out and looks yummy. But...I still hadn't gotten my guacamole. My friend is almost finished with her food and finally, the waitress brought out the guac. I explained that I had hoped it would be an appetizer, my friend and I could share and apologized, because I no longer wanted it. Then she became VERY hateful and rude. She literally scolded me. Of course by now, my friend is done eating and I was just scolded, so I was not interested in waiting for my meal. Our waitress, ignored my friends request for a beverage refill...then ignored her asking for her check. Plus, she went back into the kitchen and was literally discussing me...loudly, where I could clearly hear everything she was saying. So...my first visit was horrible. I give it 1 star, because the chips and salsa was good and the dark headed, lady was nice enough to refill my friends beverage. Other than that...I cannot rate the food. But...service? Sweet love of Pete...I can honestly say; this grandma of 5, has NEVER had as bad of a waitress, that we had today. I worked in the food industry, while I was in school and throughout college, so I have a great understanding and appreciation for servers. But our waitress today....needs to probably look for a career that requires absolutely...no customer service. It was a...
Read moreArrived at the restaurant and told to sit anywhere. After asking for a seat at the bar, I was pointed to a dungey, poorly lit bar in the back, that appeared to have not operated since the late 90's, with no one else but myself seated at it. Hesitantly taking a seat, I waited for the bartender. There was no bartender and instead was approached by the server whom told me where the "bar" was earlier. I'll go ahead and quote her, "You'll have to wait on the menu, cause we only have ONE and most of the stuff on it isn't available and most of the prices are incorrect. But I can tell you the specials and we also have an all you can eat buffet."
After this many red flags, I'm not about to try my luck with a buffet of whatever made up "special" this place has to offer. Especially after reading other reviews suggesting this place isn't worth it. I'm glad I didn't make the mistake of eating here. I've never ventured to a mexican restaurant that made me nervous to eat here after only being in the place only 5 minutes. I love mexican cuisine, but I wouldn't reccomend...
Read moreMany people in my family have been going to Jalisco's since it was in Argentine and I was a kid. For the last few years, I have ordered food for Christmas Eve and when we've received our order, it has not been enough. This year I ordered 5 dozen tacos, 4 dozen cheese enchiladas, 4 dozen tamales and a pan if beans. When I ordered, I asked them to make sure we would receive enough meat for 60 tacos. But, when I got my order, there were only 48 taco shells, many broken, not nearly enough taco meat and36 enchiladas. Not sure why this has happened twice in a row. Then, when I called, the owner, Fifi, was so rude. She acted like I was trying to get free food which is ridiculous. She basically said she did not care if she lost a good customer and we definitely do not live in a world where you want to lose customers. Never again. I would never recommend Jalisco's to anyone and especially if you need food for a big party The food is good, but the customer service is...
