Las Islas VIP Sports Bar — Restaurant in Kansas City

Last visit was on a Thursday night at 8:15 pm. The service was awful. Sit and wait for over 15 until I get up to get her attention. There were not more than 10 people but her attention was only on the males customer at the bar. When I finally got the drinks, it took for me to get up after half an hour to get her attention again, even when I told her that we were there for food. We finally got to place our order for the food. 20 minutes later she comes and says that the kitchen was closed. It was 9:10 pm. In all that time 4 other customers got attended immediately. They even ordered food and got served before us. I was so upset because I highly recommended this place to my boss. It was the first time my boss was going to try this place. Besides that she kept looking at my boss like weird just because my boss was in very short pants. My boss looks white but she has native Indian descent and it was obvious by the treatment that it was more like she felt uncomfortable with her appearance. The drinks were more likely a glass full of crushed ice and watery. For the price they charge per drink it is not worth it...

Money hungry, bought my first drink at the bar was $16 I was like wow expensive, than at the table asked for the same drink different and cheaper alcohol was $10 didn’t like the flavor so asked for the same I had asked at the bar and was charged $13 🥴 than after that they added the tip to the Final tab of three drinks. I didn’t even checked before I left like a 22% tip so after that and what they added illegally to the check ended up paying 30%+ Tip so dude at the bar Overcharged than was charged gratuity🤔.
