UPDATE (12/09/25): I'm sighing with happiness and contentment, even though they were out of tiramisu. Pictures attached. We ordered 2 18" pizzas- a meat lovers and a supreme, fresh and perfectly crunchy. One kid had the ham calzone and was delighted again. The youngest had a slice of pepperoni and was also happy. The only complaint was that the marinara was fresh (from my tween).
ORIGINAL: I am a person who sticks to details- especially about cleanliness, quality, and attitude. Their pizza made New York style appealing-something that doesn't usually happen with me since I'm a pizza snob. The sauce came through, the crust was crisp like a crusty sourdough, the cheese was proportionate. My favorite part was the beautiful calzone with ham, ricotta, and mozzarella. I did have some of my daughters sausage and pepper pizza roll as well, which was still good- just not AS good as the ham and ricotta. Now for the desserts. Two words- HOME MADE. I can't tell you how happy I was that the canoli was not stale or flat and the tiramisu had never been frozen. You can't get that quality of flavor and height without making it with a lot of love. I was more than happy. The gentlemen running it were very respectful and accomodating. One thing I will explain as to why I did not give them all 5☆ is this: their face needs to be saved. The inside is clean but the building as a whole needs some love and help. The bathrooms were clean but need to be overhauled, and the place as a whole needs some life and hope breathed into it. If I had a few ten thousands of dollars I would...
Read moreI have ordered pizza from here a few times over the past several years of living in the KC area. I've always told people they make the best NYC style pizza. Unfortunately, I can not say that anymore. This last order was beyond disappointing. I was craving a NYC style pizza so bad. It's a 6+ mile drive to get to them. I pass several other pizza places on the way. I ordered a 18" pepperoni NYC style pizza. I wanted a Stromboli as well. However, they decided that you have to eat it how they decided to pre-make it. That includes mushrooms that I can not eat. The 18" pepperoni was not made to NYC style. The crust was not that nice thin two hands needed to hold kind. It was very dense crust with none of those air bubbles along the edges that everyone likes to peel off and eat separate. You know what I mean if you've ad NYC style pizza. They used to make it that way. I can only imagine new owners or managers took over and changed things. I think they make the dough different and pre-make it with no raising to allow those air pockets.I will go elsewhere and not recommend this...
Read moreWhat a lovely place this is!! Mamma Leone’s Pizza is a restaurant we’ve seen several times while shopping at the grocery store across the street and using the car wash right behind this restaurant.
Today, my wife and I stopped for a little late lunch, which was in the form of their special which is two slices of pizza and a soda for $10 with tax. That is a bargain! We each had a delicious slice of pizza and shared a drink.
The pizza itself was very good! The slices were big and plenty for lunch.
The gentleman working behind the counter was delightful and had clearly been working there for many years. He was very kind and gave us all of the particulars on the menu items and had some great stories to share as well. He was a delight.
The food here is really good and we can’t wait to come back and try the sandwiches. The folks in the Red Bridge area have a real treat here. The restaurant was doing a very brisk drive-through business, which I...
