Tacos El Tio — Restaurant in Kansas City

Was treated to this little gem last weekend.. The menu is in Spanish, so you may need to translate on your smartphone if your not familiar.. This is a real Mexican restaurant, you don't get chips and salsa here to start you get some yummy cooked onions, cucumber and jalapeno. I ordered a carne burrito and it was delicious. They grind up the steak small so it had a hamburger type feel but tastes much better. My friends got street tacos which looked equally good. A coworker and I drove here from our office in Mission, KS, for lunch on a weekday. We each had 3 tacos. Food - some of the best tacos I have had in my life (26 years old, lived in Waukesha, WI, and have traveled to Guatemala and Mexico). They also serve toppings including a grilled jalapeno and onions. Service - as friendly as I have experienced at any restaurant in my 2 years in KC. The meal was served quickly, with friendly and frequent service, and all the staff said "Hasta Luego" when we left. Albeit a small menu unlike most restaurant's they have focused on what they do well. Taco's, Tortas, Quesadillas, & Menudo plus a few specials. This is the place to get your taco fix or any of the aforementioned items. Taco's come with sliced cucumber & limes, grilled onions and a grilled jalapeno. Plus Verde & Red sauce. And the best part the Taco's are only $1.90 and come loaded with all the usual meat selections: Asada, Carnitas, Pollo, Pabil, etc... This place blows all the others...
