When we arrived the younger guy was very nice and began taking our order. Then a middle aged man named Anthony stepped in front of him and took over and asked us what we wanted very rudely. When we asked for 3 coffees he said wow 3 coffees, I don't think we have coffee, only tea right now. We thought he was joking but no, he was rude to us the entire time while taking our 60$ order. The young man was very professional and began cooking our food while we had to ask for sugar, creamer and a spoon for our coffee, irritating Anthony again for such a simple request. My wife said you don't have to be rude, we just need a spoon. He handed us a spoon finally with a dirty, blank look. I said thank you and he (Anthony) didn't say a word. I felt uncomfortable but kept quiet and he appeared to bite his lip. Later as we received our food he was trying to be polite (while awaiting his tip) but it was too late by then. We've been to this location several times and always had a great experience, but this experience this time was a bad one and we didn't appreciate being treated rudely as we're paying and polite returning customers. There was hardly anyone else in the restaurant so he couldn't have been very stressed for having been so busy. Having given a small yet undeserved tip, we left with our to go order and said thanks. As we returned home and ate our food, my wife and I both found a hair in our hash browns... we have always love waffle house and always go there for our anniversary but after being treated rude and this very regrettable experience we aren't planning to return to this location again. We felt bad for the young man because he was doing a good job and we wished our interaction could've been only with him. I was not given a receipt but I thought it strange when I saw our order was...
Read moreI don’t recommend anyone ever come here. The staff here (Claire especially) has to be the most incompetent, unprofessional, and just down right incapable i’ve ever seen. Sat there for 30 minutes waiting to place an order, and in that time they took orders from other people who were white, but not me and my girlfriend (which I can only guess because we’re an interracial couple, considering the amount of reviews from other people on here stating they experienced the same thing). Waffle house, you guys have to do better. I think I would have received better service from someone you picked up off the side of the street.
Honestly, if it weren’t for my girlfriend liking the food, we’d never go back to a Waffle house ever again. I’ll definitely be filing a formal complaint with corporate (looking at you Claire) cause that was just absolutely ridiculous. After 30 minutes of waiting we just decided to leave and bring our business elsewhere. And they (Claire) knew we had been waiting for 30 minutes to place a simple carry out order, because after 20 minutes of her taking other customer’s orders and consistently blatantly ignoring us, I asked her if she was going to take our order. She then proceeded to turn unprofessional and walk up to her co worker and throw up her hands and say “I’m just gonna quit”.
When you’re working at a place like this, you have to be capable of multitasking. This lady was incapable of doing more than one thing at a time. I’ve honestly never seen a more inefficient employee in my life. I’d be p* if I was paying her wage for that pitiful...
Read morethe waiter was very very sweet I think her name was Miranda she said that she's been working at the location for about two years. She looked exhausted so I kind of have the feeling that maybe her managers weren't scheduling her very well. But the place was relatively clean for it being like a casual truck stop area they did mop the floor there while we were eating and she was kind enough to tell us be careful and told a funny story about her slipping on her flip-flops on wet concrete. the waitresse definitely 5-star rating but the cooks and other waiters I would give them a 2-star rating at best. they were kind of talking to each other the entire time barely paying attention to what was going on as they wrew gossiping pretty loud about what was going on in their life and I get that it's great to talk about that stuff but you know if you use profanity in the conversation you still have to be professional. The Omelette that my sister got from the All-Star was a hot mess she didn't even want to eat it I had also ordered all star. I wasn't any less disappointed then she was. I found hair in my eggs and in my hash browns, and that was very very unappealing. Nobody in there was wearing hair nets and the gloves definitely needed to be changed out it didn't feel remotely sanitary. With my job we had to take off the nozzles every night to wash them and it looks like the nozzles weren't taking off for like the last 10 years on their orange juice and tea filter. Sum it up, 5 star ratings for Miranda, 1 star for the cook and the other two servers 1 and 1/2 *....
