Hidden Gem for a Quick Getaway

This little lake is a peaceful escape tucked right near the city. The walking trail doesn’t go all the way around, but it’s still a nice stroll with a couple of spots to sit and relax. I often see people fishing, and there are usually turtles sunbathing on logs and geese hanging around. Just a heads-up—there’s quite a bit of geese poop on the sidewalks, but that comes with the territory.

The lake itself is quiet and calming, perfect if you need to clear your head or take a break from the daily grind. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy, so I’d recommend locking your car doors, but I’ve never had any issues. It’s hidden enough to feel like a retreat, but still super close to shopping and main roads. Not a bad...

I like taking my dog here to walk around the pond but what happened to all the doggie bag receptacles??! We came here today and every single one of them is gone! I was here in the last 2 weeks so it must have just happened. I'm one who actually picks up my dogs waste and usually have extra bags on me but knew that they provided bags here so didn't worry about grabbing any before leaving the house. So sorry neighbors 🫤 had to leave a pile.
