I think this will be the absolute last time I try to buy a meal here. It was so expensive - we brought our own cup from home so we could just get a $2 refill, and I bought a burger and fries for my 2 younger children to split, to save money. Kid's meals are $8 and I don't think that includes a drink. There are no GF kid's options, and I was planning to buy him an adult meal on that account. I will say, their fries are good and a generous size. That's fortunate. I bought their Italian salad bowl for myself, although I'm not vegetarian, because I'm counting calories, but mainly because it was a couple dollars cheaper ($11.99) It was described as brown rice, greens, feta cheese, Calabria peppers, marinated tomatoes - I thought with the rice and cheese it would fill me up enough to keep walking. They have no calorie info. There was zero rice. It was sprinkled with I guess quinoa and maybe something like millet, maybe a few tablespoons' worth. There did seem to be a few tiny crumbles of cheese here and there. It was served with no fork, and I had to go ask someone to find out they'd give you a fork at the cash register (I'd ordered online as they encourage you to do). My son didn't like his gf burger. I dunno, gf is hard to do, and I didn't taste his bun. I ate some of the children's fries to fuel up. The salad's flavor was pretty good, but IMO a brown rice bowl ought to have at least a half cup of grain. $47 plus the $2 refill. Next time I'll come up with some other plan. If you're going to charge like an upscale restaurant, please deliver on it. ETA: I forgot, the Dr Pepper didn't taste good, but they were nice enough to dump it out and give us root beer without making it an issue.

I tried the falafel burger basket at Beastro inside Sedgwick County Zoo. The burger was decent but not exceptional—while the falafel patty was flavorful, the overall combination with the bun and toppings felt a bit dry. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, which I enjoyed. Given the location and the convenience of grabbing a quick bite during a zoo visit, it's a decent option, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The prices are a bit steep for what you get, but that's expected at a place like this. Overall, it's an okay choice if you're hungry while exploring the zoo.

Beastro food is pretty next level for a trip to the Zoo. They do a great job and are always trying new things! Stop by to feed your wild ones on your next visit.

Do not eat at the Beastro on a busy day!!!! Food takes over an hour to arrive after they lose your order. The process they have is the worst I've ever seen. The poor people who work there don't have a chance of success but are doing their best in spite of the poor management. New food tickets come in about 10x faster than their ability to get food out. They take orders from the counter, from tablets in the restaurant and online all at the same time but only have a single crew trying to handle the orders. How can about 10 people handle hundreds of orders an hour? NOT POSSIBLE. Hire more people and give them all around raise. $17 for A double cheese burger basket should help...
