The Shack II — Restaurant in Kansas

So I go in and order a double cheeseburger add bacon, chilli cheese tator tots, and a beer. I ask the waitress to leave off one of the meat patties, after it is cooked, and make it to go(a treat for my dog). She says ok. She comes back and asks if I still want the cheese on the pattie on the side. I said no, just put it on my burger. She brings my order and the food was excellent. She brought the pattie to go in a container. I paid and it was almost $32. I was headed home and looked at the receipt. She charged me $5.50 for a cheeseburger, $4.50 for a hamburger hold the bun, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles. $4.00 for the tots. $2 for the chilli and cheese on the tots. $1 for the to go container, and for $6.50 x 2 for my beers. I went back and asked why she charged me for 2 separate burgers. The double was only $7.50. She said she changed it that way because that is how I ordered it. I told her that if she said she was going to do it that way, she should have told me that and not did it sneaky like that. She got all upset and she got an attitude. I had given her a $5 tip cause the food and service was good. I asked her why she did it like that? I said if I knew she was going to do that, I would have not ordered it. I would have left. I asked what she would have done if I ordered it and then got a to go container and put a pattie of meat in it myself. She said she did not care what I did with it after she served it to me. Found out her name is Krys. She has tattoos, short brown hair, really skinny. If she is working, I will turn around and go somewhere else. She will...

Bad experience. The waitresses got two table’s orders wrong, including my order. They blamed the cooks for their mistakes. Unprofessional.

Our table ordered our meal 10 minutes before a larger family of 8 did, and they received their order before ours. Also, the waitress gave me bbq wings instead of buffalo, rinsed the wings off, deep fried them again, sauced them again, and said that they would be removed from my ticket but only charged me half the price for the wings. The waitress became upset at ME when I told her, politely, that my wings were wrong. I was understanding, patient, and kind the whole time. I’m up at 2:23am because I have stomach ache. Stomach ache and pregnancy don’t go along.

Both waitresses then proceed to mock me as I stood from my table to leave and before hand when my husband and I waited for our correct orders. I could hear them from behind the bar, as there weren’t many people and music wasn’t playing. “There she goes. She’s about to stand from the table.”

I’m a disabled veteran who is also pregnant. I walk funny because of my disability and pregnancy. I heard them mock my walk. That was more disappointing than anything... It was a slap to the face when I saw a placard on the way out saluting...

It was the first time for the majority of our group to order from The Shack. We ordered it to go but when picking up the order we were very impressed with the interior. It was exceptionally clean, well lit, spacious and nicely set up. The kitchen also looked very clean from the doorway. The staff was friendly and immediately knew which order was ours and that it would be completed shortly. They rang up our order and we paid just before it was done so we could leave right when it was finished. Arriving home everything was there, all sauces, dips, entrees. The burgers were exceptional! I'm not sure what was different but they were just great. The nachos were another plus. Crispy chips, good cheese and nice chili made them taste great. French fries and fried mushrooms were okay. Their funnel fries were very nice. We really enjoyed those. However, their corn nuggets were another one where they hit it out of the ball park. Very crispy outside and the inside was creamy and hot with a fair amount of corn. Highly recommend The Shack! Definitely...
