Airi Ramen is a true gem for ramen lovers—hands down one of the best bowls of ramen I’ve had in the area. From the moment you walk in, the warm, cozy vibe and the friendly staff make you feel welcome and ready for a great meal.
The tonkotsu broth is absolutely incredible—rich, creamy, and full of depth without being overly salty or heavy. You can tell it’s been simmered for hours to get that perfect umami flavor. The noodles are springy and fresh, with just the right amount of bite. The chashu pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. Every bite is satisfying and comforting.
One standout is their spicy miso ramen—it has just the right amount of heat and layers of flavor that keep you coming back for more. The toppings are generous and thoughtfully placed: a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, crunchy bamboo shoots, corn, seaweed, and scallions. It’s a bowl that looks as good as it tastes.
Beyond ramen, Airi also offers tasty appetizers like takoyaki, gyoza, and karaage chicken—all crispy, flavorful, and fresh. The portions are fair, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting.
Service is always fast, attentive, and friendly. Whether dining in or taking out, they take pride in making sure your experience is a good one. The space is clean, modern, and casual—great for a quick lunch, dinner with friends, or even a solo ramen fix.
Airi Ramen doesn’t just serve food—it delivers comfort, flavor, and consistency. It’s a place I keep coming back to and recommending to anyone looking for a satisfying bowl of ramen. If you’re a fan of authentic, flavorful Japanese noodles, this is a must-visit. Five stars...
Read moreMediocre food; was not good but was not bad. Would I dine here again? Probably not, considering there are better options nearby. Such a shame considering how close I live to this establishment.
I ordered take-out for brunch. Got two ramens, a sushi roll, and an appetizer (free since my take-out order was over $45). Ramen broth was okay--very salty. I was parched after eating the Tonkotsu ramen. Thankfully my toddler only ate the noodles, otherwise she would've been parched as well had she drank the broth. Spicy Miso ramen was similar; the miso made it super salty but the spice of it was good. The pork belly was dry. Eggs were dry and slightly overcooked compared to the usual ramen eggs you normally would get. Noodles were nice and bouncy, though.
Special Crunch Roll was the biggest disappointment ever. For $16, you get a roll that had tempura shrimp, avocado, shredded imitation crab meat, tempura crunch powder, and masago on top. I was expecting a fancier roll for that price but it was nothing fancier than a California Roll with extra toppings.
Crab cheese wontons barely had any filling. Sweet and sour sauce was thick and clumpy.
Save your money and visit another establishment. There are better ramen and sushi restaurants in Katy.
Attempted to try this place during their 50% off but couldn't (understandably). We tried on both days and they were packed. I'm not basing my review on this since it's not really their fault but just wanted to note that this establishment...

This visit marked my refreshing second attempt at this restaurant. While my previous experience wasn’t particularly memorable, I’m happy to report that this return visit more than made up for it.
The evening’s standout dish was the General Tso’s Chicken with Fried Rice. The chicken was exceptionally tender and moist, cloaked in a sauce that was nothing short of phenomenal—rich, tangy, and packed with umami. We poured the fried rice directly onto the chicken, mixing it thoroughly with the sauce and finishing with a light drizzle of soy sauce. The result was a perfectly balanced, flavor-packed bite every time.
We also sampled Salmon and Yellowtail Sashimi, both incredibly fresh and delicately sliced, offering a clean and satisfying texture. The crab puffs were golden and crispy, with a creamy center that added a warm contrast to the lighter dishes.
To round out the experience, I ordered a Lemon Drop Saketini, made with sake and lime juice. It was light, tart, and wonderfully refreshing—a smart and subtle companion to the bold flavors of the meal.
This visit was a complete turnaround—proof that second chances can be deliciously rewarding. I’m already looking forward to...
