Whiskey River West — Restaurant in Katy

I’m give an overall 4 because I still like to come to this place but the service is a 3. I reserved my table for my birthday and at first everything was great. My server was very attentive to my group. I’ve never had an issue with leaving stuff and not coming back to it. My package came with 3 bottles and 3 buckets. I had tequila, vodka, whiskey. And out of everyone in my group I was the only one drinking whiskey. My group was a total of 12 people. My group was still buying shots aside from that. Like stated I was the only one drink whiskey so when we all left to dance the bottle was still pretty much full. We all went to dance for a bit when I went back to the table I had to move someone from the table that was not part of my group (that was the least of my worries). I came to realize that at some point a complete stranger helped themselves to my whiskey. I informed the server and she proceeded to blame my friends and told her that my friends were not taking shots of whiskey. They were all either ordering shots or drinking tequila or vodka, which those bottles were fine. She then asked me to point out who could have done it and I told her, if I knew I would tell her but if they could at least check the cameras or something. She said she was going to bring the manager (and this is where I have this issue). The manager the first thing she told me, before I could even tell her what happened said “I’m not replacing your bottle.” I beg your finest pardon?! I’m not one to make a scene or cause issues, I usually take my loss but I paid for my table for one and for 2, I wasn’t going to ask you to replace it! All I was asking is to check your cameras and see who could have done or let’s find a solution. She proceeded that I was yelling at her and she kept rolling her eyes at me and catching an attitude. I told her that I wasn’t trying to yell at her but I was sure she couldn’t hear me if I could barely hear her from where I was at and we were pretty close. All she said was “I work the industry. I can hear you just fine.” But she kept insisting that she wasn’t going to replace the bottle and I could care less at that point but when someone is dropping money on a table, there needs to be a better monitoring system for the tables so issues like this doesn’t happen and WR needs to tell their manager to have less of attitude. My friend had to get involved and she still continued to fight with her until they came with a resolution. At that point I didn’t care what came from it, I was done and she soured up my night. Had the worst experience last night! This was my third time going to this location and never had any bad issues. So me and my boyfriend went to the bar to order our 2nd round of beers, we were going to get 2 beers and one shot but he forgot about one beer and paid for the single beer and shot. I told him go buy the other beer and I’ll wait right here next to you. So he goes back to the bar with the SAME bartender we ordered from the first round of drinks. I noticed the bartender kept walking back and forth ignoring him mind you there was about 5 other guys waiting to order next to him. So then I see one of the bouncers I guess (red shirt guys) come out and a tall white lady go talk with the bartender (she was short with blonde hair and light skinned). Then that tall lady begins talking with my boyfriend and I’m like what is happening so my boyfriend comes to me and says that the bartender told the bar manager my boyfriend was making her feel uncomfortable because he supposedly threw money at her and couldn’t count the money right! Mind you I was next to him the whole time and that never happened! He paid cash and needed extra money so I gave him 20$ out of my purse to give to her. So I become infuriated and start telling the lady off! Like we are paying customers and for her to say that made no sense. All the bar manager said was the bartender had every right not to serve him and etc. That we weren’t being kicked out but couldn’t order from that side of the bar anymore we would have to go to the other side. I understood yes she’s a woman and things can happen but my boyfriend didn’t ever once do that and for her to single out him but not the other guys literally looking at her up and down made me sooo mad!
