My first encounter with these doughnuts was at a yard sale in Grand chute. The owners daughter had them for sale at her yard sale. I am a huge fan of doughnuts. I decided it was finally time to visit this place to get me some delicious doughnuts. Heads up, Appleton has crappy doughnuts. Second encounter with Hill Top, I drove down from Appleton to get me a great doughnut. The place was busy which means, a lot of people love these doughnuts. I got me a dozen of the most delicious, mouth watering doughnuts. Chocolate, Apple, cherry, blueberry, glaze, lemon filled, custard, and sugar. If I didn't live so far I'd be there every day... actually I'd roll there if I went everyday. Great bakery, doughnut shop. Friendly and fast service with a huge selection....

Hilltop is the top. I didn't realize how spoiled I was with hand made fresh bakery until I moved away. I've had several friends give me their 'best donut ever' and in a taste test Hilltop wins every.single.time. The competition's futile donut attempts don't even come close to the taste of Hilltop. Whenever I get close to the valley I have to stop in for a chocolate sprinkle ring and a chocolate milk. And the staff are always pleasant (even with such early morning hours)
