We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Kenefick Pit for their outstanding generosity and service. Despite being closed on their day off, they graciously went out of their way to prepare a delicious meal for our meeting. Their willingness to accommodate us during their time off truly exemplifies a spirit of community and excellence.

The food was exceptional! It was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive: courteous, prompt, and above all, thoughtful. And the pricing was more than fair, especially given the quality and effort involved.

Kenefick Pit has certainly earned our gratitude and our business. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent food and even...

Drove a bit sideways between Houston and New Orleans, but worth the stop to my first Texas BBQ (I'm not counting one time at a big chain in san Antonio decades ago. The smell of the pit hits you as soon as you open the rental car door...as well as the humidity and storm clouds in the distance.

Went with a safe brisket plate order and great meat and phenomenal red beans and rice side.

But the owner brought out a rib for me to try....and it went to another level! I've eaten many BBQ ribs, but this was the best ever! The meat was that perfect texture and smoke ring clear and sumptuous. But the rub texture I'd never had before.

Sauce was well done too.

If you're looking for an ok meal that's made with meat from the cheap store and somebody else's BBQ sauce, get it at the 'Pit. They cook the brisket and ribs with SMOKE from seasoned oak coals in an offset smoker instead of boiling them like a proper restaurant at Hobby Airport. The worst part about this place is that the tater salad has not been frozen for months in a deep freeze, and tastes fresh and delicious. Total rip-off, and, to top it off, the dog bit me.
