I wanted to try out this place due to the reviews and it was just OK. It's hard to find good Chinese/Oriental food in the area, so we tried Hot Wok. We had the orange chicken, general Tso's chicken, and the Mongolian beef. The orange chicken was the best out of the 3, very crispy on the outside and the sauce was very tasty. The other 2 dishes were just OK as they were a little soggy, but the sauce is what saved them because of the flavor. I saw on Google that they were known for these 3 dishes so this is what we went with. We also had the fried rice (we were supposed to get 3 orders, but only got 2), but I didn't make a big fuss about it because I didn't realize until I got home. The rice was enough to feed an army, so portions I would say are good, but the fried rice was very dry and I would not recommend getting. Chicken wings we're not crispy as korean chicken wings normally are and they didn't taste like they used lemon pepper on them. Chicken was a little soggy as well. I only live 10 minutes from this establishment and I got my food fresh, so there should be no reason why the food should be soggy. Overall, I will probably try once more due to this experience, but if it's the same, I won't be back. It is very pricey too, so be prepared to spend some money especially if you're buying for your family. That's my honest review, so if I come back and have a different experience, I will update...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk so we were shopping in the Marietta area and I had a taste for Chinese food. Normally when it comes to Chinese food I stick to what I know(Iykyk)š.. and what I know is the Dragon 168 @ Richard D Sailors in Powder Springs⦠But like I stated we were shopping in Marietta and it was 5pm⦠traffic was normal 5pm ATL traffic so I got on google and found the best rated Chinese restaurants near me. That how we arrived at Hot Wok Asian Cuisine located at Due west rd Marietta. The menu had sooo much to choose from so we enlisted the help of a Customer that happened to frequent that location. He actually told me that he commutes there from Dallas and this was his āGo-toā favorite restaurant for Chinese food. With his advice in tow we order the spring rolls General Taoās chicken with lo mein and the Pepper & onion steak with fried rice. The spring rolls were fried too hard.. they have a spice chart from 0-20 so I got the General chicken at a 8. It was just ok⦠nothing special⦠the steak and onions lacked flavor and it was more peppers and onions than Steak. The rice was not fried but steamed rice with color. The lo mein was the same just plain thick noodles with no flavor. The ambiance was nice⦠the service was fast and the clerk was very pleasant .. but the food was not good at all!!! Iāll just stick to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food I had today was absolutely amazing! I actually set myself a reminder just to make sure I left a review for this place. Iām so so glad I took a chance on it!
I was technically craving something else while I was out running errands. I stopped at my last place before getting food, and I looked across the street and saw Hot Wok. I didnāt have as much time to get the other food I actually wanted, so I tried this. Best unplanned decision made in a very long time when it comes to food!
They advertise being healthier Asian Cuisine restaurant, and from the taste of the food, I 100% agree. Best Chinese I have had in a while. It was simple, but flavorful and definitely felt healthy. I had the mixed vegetables with chicken, egg rolls, and an order of crab Rangoons. The crab Rangoons were the BEST ever, by the way. I liked having more crab in them, so so so good!
Oh, and the customer service was so awesome. So nice and helpful. Canāt wait to try...
