We walked in and waited for a bit not knowing what to do and no one guided us. We walked up, ready to order. My boyfriend ordered a burger, she asked how he wanted the meat done, he said "rare" and she said "we don't do rare here". When we finally got the food, his burger was WELL DONE. The manager (i think it was the manager) told us they COULD do rare if we request it, and we told him we did ask the girl and she said no. His response was "oh, well, I'll speak to her". He didn't once ask if we wanted to switch it out for a burger he wanted, considering it was WELL DONE, not even medium rare. And the cherry on top, the meat is not seasoned at all. The meat itself is bland and has no salt, seasoning, nothing. The only flavor comes from the ranch I asked for the on the side. Oh, and the pimento cheese critters tasted a little stale too.
The total was $40 for a small appetizer, and 2 bland burgers that came with NO SIDE.
Neither one of us are picky eaters, we're actually big backs. And we did NOT like the food OR service. Highly disappointed with the entire experience, from the food...
Read moreMid-July mid-week, midday, came to Moxie Burger on Kennesaw Due West for the first time (newly opened). Very few customers at this time of day. But they continued to trickle in. My wife ordered a Cadillac (lamb burger plus side of sweet potatoes fries and I ordered a Snoop dog with onions straws in the bun instead of onions. No side ordered. We sat outside under the awning (10 tables), but not in the uncovered area (5 more tables). Serve yourself bottomless drinks. Waited 10 to 15 mins for the meals to be delivered to our table My Snoop dog was cradled in a brown paper wrap. If you don't want the delicious goo in the hotdog bun to get on your hands, I suggest you use the wrap to carry the dog to your mouth. The Snoop was delicious!
My wife worked on the Cadillac lamb burger and the loads of SP fries but when she got half way into the burger, the flavor overwhelmed her taste buds. Is mutton for you?
The only negative was $$. After a $5 tip the total total was $38 Still, with all the flavors you won't find at a big chain fast food shop, we will return to...
Read moreEdit (August 2024): I’m changing from 4 to 5 stars because every time I have eaten there in the past 6 months the requested temp has been what I wanted, the customization options are awesome (they will make my perfect fried green tomato BLT on Texas toast without a burger patty and ring it up as a kid’s meal with fries and drink), AND they have $4 mimosas and a patio with fans. Pretty great (and affordable).
Original: I still haven’t found my perfect customizable burger place yet, but this one is pretty good. I like the size of the burger, the Texas toast bun option, and the fried green tomato topping, which they don’t have many other places. I wish they had mozzarella cheese for when I want the melt factor to hold everything together without a strong cheese flavor. They also ask for preferred temperature, but I have never managed to get a burger that was less than medium-well. In my pic I ordered mid-rare, definitely not even close. But it’s still a good burger, so not...
