This was my first time here at home run. Me and my aunt came here because we were hungr and convenient location. We waited to be seated for over 10 minutes to only seat ourselves. After we sat ourselves, the bus girl came up to us and give us water. We were sitting there for about 5 minutes. Our server finally came up to us and asked what we would like to eat. We told her we didn’t have any menus. She brought us a menus and we looked over the menus five minutes later she came back asking what we want. My aunt told her mashed potatoes, a bowl of soup and she wants it with my food. I asked Michelle what are the specials today since I didn’t see any on the menu she walked away without saying she was going to go look came back and told me what the specials were. I got the cabbage rolls with beef on the inside with rice. She asked me what I wanted for the side and I said mashed potatoes and I got a cup of chicken five minutes later she came over with a cup of soup and hesitated to put it down on the table because she thought I ordered the other kind of soup, I proceeded to tell her that’s what I ordered and that’s what I wanted and asked her for whipped butter. She helped four tables and we were still waiting for my whipped butter. I then asked Vicki the manager on duty for whipped butter. She brought two packs over and then Michelle shortly after that brought our whipped butter. Michelle, shortly after that brought my food over and I noticed that it had carrots. I asked if I can receive a different kind of vegetable and she said that’s all we have in a rude way. She then went to another table and said overheard me talking about how I don’t like carrots and I wish you would’ve told me that there were vegetables that came on the plate. She said in a snotty way that’s the vegetable of the day. It’s not a secret and I didn’t have to tell you I politely asked for something else and she refused. She said if you have a problem, you can talk to my manager which was Vicki. I excuse myself from the table to tell my problem to Vicki and I told her that I’m not going to pay for my food because it’s not what I want anymore. At this point in time, Vicki told me and my aunt that we were being rude from the start which is totally not true. They ended up still making me pay for my aunt stuff and my bowl of soup and then Vicki had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to leave a tip which was a ridiculous question. Especially after what happened....
Read moreI lived in Kenosha all if my life and have only been to this restaurant a handful of times. Recently, my husband brought me there for breakfast, it was delicious and the service was great. However, our next visit we dicided to do take out instead. We we're quoted 25-30 min for our food (the person on the phone said were really busy and couldn't give me an appproximate time) that was not problem. We entered the restaurant, it was very busy, I approached the front desk to pick up our food I was approached by a waiter who asked to set us, I told her I was here for pick up and she told me the other employee would cash me out. As I stood by the desk, waiting in line, other patrons approach from the other side of the desk and was taken before me, I was a little frustrated because I am not a frequent customer and it was apparent that there was little organizational structure at the front desk. By the time I was finally cashed out and got our food, I checked our food and it was cold. I am not sure if our food got done sooner than the estimated 25-30 min time but if that was the case I should have received a phone call and I would have been there sooner. When we got home to eat our meals my husband's burger look very unappealing, he took a bite and said it was very dry, stiff as a board, and tasted old. He threw it away. I ordered creeps, they were charred and burnt, they tasted horrible, I was very...
Read moreTommy’s home run family restaraunt has horrible food and my partner agrees. it tasted like they don’t change the fryer oil ever! The bad rating is also because of the owner told us never to come back. The reason, I always use a credit card. At no time was I told using a credit card would cost more. But I found out when the server gave me the bill, I gave her my card. She didn’t say there would be an extra charge for using a credit card. When she handed me the receipt to sign, I noticed another charge which looked like another tip so I asked her what it was. She told me to go to the register. So I went to the register. I asked the “owner” what this charge was. He pointed to a sign (i’m talking a little postcard type thing ) on the register and to another on the door. I told him I always pay by credit. I didn’t know there was a fee for not paying with cash. His explanation “don’t come back.” Good answer. I responded you’re right. I won’t come back. I think he was rude and I don’t know why because I was calm. I was warned by family members that their food wasn’t good but I thought I’d try them anyway because I’ve seen their advertising in that “whats new to Kenosha.” Well, we never...
