If I could rate it lower I would. We went there on a whim and that was a mistake. My husband and I both ordered the Steak Picado because we both enjoy spicy food. It was spicy but the "steak" was basically gristle and fat. It didn't come with any pico, lettuce, tomato, or sour cream so when we asked for these things all we got was the sour cream and of course we were charged extra. Usually there would be some onions, peppers, some thing other than meat ...at least at most other places. My stepson got a taco with meat and cheese...no lettuce or tomatoes even though we specifically said he likes every thing. The kids complained their chocolate milk had a weird aftertaste to it. The salsa was pretty bland too. Since my husband and I both didn't like the meal we ordered a dessert...which was frozen solid inside...so it wasn't even some thing they made..they buy it and slap it on a plate. No one asked how the food was ...I would have told them just what I thought. It was definitely a waste of money to eat here. If there was a way to ask for our money...
Read moreThis is a good Mexican restaurant but it lacks in that atmosphere..What I mean is it's too quiet.
Play the music a little louder, turn up the TV's, and get more of them.
The Bar needs to be bigger go to the one in Bellefontaine..Los Cabos.
If you just want to stop in a get a beer sit at the bar and get some food.
This won't happen here you will need to sit alone in a booth.
The positive side of things is great service, a clean place with good food, not great.. but good..
If you live in Kenton this place is a no brainer. Big points on the name Salsas.
And there Salsa and chips are great.
The Restaurant with the wood look is very nice but there needs to be more life with music or something just too quiet.
But if you like that, enjoy.
I have had dinner, and lunch here more then once.
Kenton does not have alot of food options.. so you can't go wrong with Salsas.
Update: They updated there sitting area very nice. Still needs music.. And look at that...
Read moreUpon being seated, we were greeted by a self-important waitstaff who was too given over to his position to actually listen to our requests. Secondly, the chips we were given were cold and stale. Thirdly, our meal was a travesty. The food was as cold as the plate, which is to say, Icy. Fourthly, I have never seen authentic Mexican food that was so bland. Refried beans are not meant to be this runny/soupy. Lastly, I have never met in 38 states of traveling, a more diluted manager. When politely spoken to about the conditions at his restaurant, he seemed to be in his own fantasy realm unbelieving of reality. Please do not waste your time or hard...
