Bluegrass Sabor turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Walking in the décor and atmosphere tells you are in for a culinary treat of down-home food.

My wife had the 8 oz Pecan Crusted Chicken topped with a very tasty bourbon honey/sauce. She had her bourbon honey on the side. Her mother use to make Pecan Crusted Chicken back in the day and she wanted to compare Bluegrass Sabor's to moms. Bluegrass Sabor hit a home run on the Pecan Chicken! Her two sides, which came with the chicken, were steamed broccoli and a very large house salad. In fact, this was one of the largest house salads I have seen. It definitely wasn't a honeymoon salad, lettuce alone!

I had the 10 oz Pork Chop with grilled peppers and onions topped with a bourbon glaze. My two sides were the green beans, cooked southern style, and mashed potatoes. All three were very delicious and reminded me very much of true home cooking. As an afterthought, I should have asked for an extra serving of the bourbon glaze on the side. Our meals came with a serving of bread rolls with a vegetable spread. The rolls were good; the vegetable spread was just vegetable spread.

The service was over the top and they were somewhat busy during our visit. This is a friendly place! This would be a great place to have lunch or dinner after spending a day on the Bourbon Trail. Lawrenceburg is a short drive from two of the best distilleries in the area, Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve.

My wife and I look forward to returning to the Bluegrass Sabor in the future for some more...

Wonderful food. I ordered a medium rare cheeseburger. It wasn't bad, but it was well done. If you like that go ahead, but I don't. It was lacking in terms of seasoning.

I got onions on it and it was a little too much, I had to take some off. The fries were great, but I generally like them being cooked a little longer than what was given. It was crispy, but more like potato wedges. That's a personal preference, so don't count my dislike of potato wedges against them. Please note, I ate a decent amount of fries prior to taking this photo. I got ranch dressing, and it was very good ranch. I suspect it was housemade.

They had some great macaroni and cheese, it was very thick. They definitely used some quality cheese. My 7 month old liked it too. They use pepper in it, and I can always appreciate seasoned macaroni. I don't think people use seasonings in macaroni but I promise some freshly ground black pepper and garlic powder will do wonders for your macaroni.

What stood out was the service. Our waiter was extremely charismatic and friendly. He made a lot of good jokes and we had a good time. My 7 month old originally agreed to pay, she backed out at the last minute unfortunately. Maybe next time. The atmosphere was also wonderful. I would...

They promoted a Valentine's day special, so I brought my wife out. We were seated right away, and the server was right there to take our order. I need to say they were very busy, since they were running the special. The problem was, we waited 2 hours for our food and when it came out, was cold. I ordered a steak and it was also cooked incorrectly. My wife ordered chicken cordon blu and it looked like it hard been overcooked, but was cold to the touch. Seems like all the workers was doing their job, but management was unable to deliver the support needed to pull off this packed house. We ended up paying for the appetizer and drinks, and sending our cold food back. We did leave the server a hefty tip, as she did as great of a job as she was able to. Several other tables was waiting longer than us for food, I don't know what the quality of the food they ended up getting was.

I need to add that in the past, we have always had a positive experience. We are just strongly disappointed in the management that was displayed tonight, and that's why they are getting a 1 star review.

When we complained to the cashier, we was told sorry they are really...

This picture is their smothered fries. The restaurant has an upscale, fancy vibe. Plenty of seating both inside and outside so take your pick. The waitress was very kind and friendly as well. I love that the bathroom was so clean and the changing table was in great shape. Something rare in most public bathrooms. It’s not located inside the stall like they typically are, but I didn’t have any problems using it. Lawrenceburg is a fairly small town and my family loves it here. They just recently moved locations from being in downtown Lawrenceburg to just off highway 127. They are not far from I-64 which means they get customers from the bourbon trail. They are also located between Lawrenceburg and Frankfort so likely some Frankfort residents dine here as well.
