Cracker Barrel has gone down hill IMO smaller portions and waning quality still a nice place atmosphere wise but they messed up my order and the food was so so
This is an update: thank you Cracker Barrel for responding, but I don't need it made right just for me. If you're going to do anything Please just consider these things 1.what makes Cracker Barrel Cracker Barrel. For me and I know many it's a place where you can go that's comfortable and serves a good variety of home style foods relevant to the icon old man in the rocking chair a place where Families and retires often go those out traveling can stop for something better than fast food at a reasonable price a neat store to pick up things you didn't know you needed while you're there. 2. Don't lose sight of the root of your restaurant trying to grow into the next generation. I understand a company has to work with trends and change with the times but this can cause the loss of a good foundation maybe at 51 I am becoming old fashioned maybe it's because one of my business partners is 76 and has expressed similar disappointment but I will end this here with a look back and see what made you and build on that rather than try to...
Read moreIt was stay but not too busy yet. Our server was quick and put in order. We waited 30mins before getting anything. We were patient watching later tables getting the same thing we ordered and several potatoes. We both ordered the homestyle chicken. Our biscuits came with our food. The problem Iwas told was I ordered a baked potato for health reasons it's really the only thing I generally eat and take the rest of my meal home. Our food finally came and I was informed we were still waiting on my potato.20 min later my husband is almost totally done with his food and it comes my potato. It was no where near done. It was hard. Even at home at 50min the potato would have been softer. It was suppose to be loaded and was really not. So lunch was 2 biscuits. The potato was too hard to eat I just boxed up the rest of my food, left the potato, and we left. I went out to eat to avoid cooking and instead spent money on food just to go home and cook so i could eat. Cracker Barrel has always been our go to. We live in a small city & helped petition and ask for it to be built here. But it gets worse and worse. With inflation this high no one can afford to come eat and have to end up throwing...
Read moreDecent not the greatest visit, waitress was exceptional, service outside that was less than expected. No one was escorting people to tables, a young woman kept looking out and never stepped up to help or tell someone who knew what they were doing to help seat the customers. Finally one waitress told them just to seat us anywhere. She seemed like she was doing 95% of the work, seating people, taking orders, drinks, serving. Our waitress was a rising star who did exceptionally well. Food was mediocre, Haddock was barely breaded, unusual taste, fries were changed to steak fries a total of 3 long pieces and 3 tater tot size fries then seasoned with garlic salt which sounded good, but way too much salt I had to scrape the salt off each fry before eating, the biscuits were miniature grayish globs, food was well below the standard at Cracker Barrel. Our waitress deserves her 1st star. This was our first bad experience in the...
