This place is a rare treat of the Hill country. They have quite a variety of food categories to include breakfast staples, Mexican, Seafood, sandwiches and more. My family got a little bit of everything so I was able to partake of more things than my El Patron sandwich with Mango Aoioli slaw which was phenomenal. This sandwich was loaded with fixings on the side and they are quite generous with the amount. I challenge anyone to fit them all in the sandwich but good to eat them on the side as well that way the bread doesn't get soggy. The fact they bring it out like that tells me they pay close attention to detail in their cuisine. My parents enjoyed this place so much they dined there three days in a row while visiting. They are really THAT good!

Amazing breakfasts, that provide so many choices from traditional Tex Mex plates to Cowboy breakfasts. It has fast become one of our favorite haunts in Kerrville-Ingram. Dinners are often busy too. I ordered a 1/2 serve of ribs! Huge pork ribs with a lot of flavour! Might be a tad dry, but judging by the size of the smoker wagon out front these guys know their BBQ. The Brisket Nachos can feed a family of 4. Its a massive plate. I also like the fact that you can do 1/2 plates here with no fuss. Its all priced right, with casual service that is attentive despite the business. Note like most places they close pretty early around 8:30pm. Walk in grab a seat, and relax.

"Was", my favorite breakfast place. They changed the menu and cooks. NUEVO RANCHERO last (2) times here for breakfast was "Terrible", sausage patties overlooked ( burnt), overeasy eggs burned crispy on bottom, hash brown potatoes burnt crisp toast was burned... worst was the Ranchero sauce was unacceptable, not the standard Tex Mex Ranchero (tomato, jalapeño, onion). They have completely lost the old fashion Texas ranch style cooking they started with. Four of us have eaten there regularly for several years (All of us are native Texas ranchers). Breakfast Definitely not recommended

Updated/Edited: This is a place I've been to with my husband about 8 times. The first time we went, I had the Tuna Melt. It was inedible. The second time we went, I got my Sweet Tea and the rim of the glass had a perfect lipstick mark on it - Unacceptable. I swore I would never go back. Time passed, people told me it had improved and I returned. I was happy with the service and the food we got for several visits... Then I ordered a steak one evening. I know you take a chance when ordering a steak from a place like this but I was craving beef. (Tongue in cheek jokes are anticipated...) I ordered it rare and when it got to the table it was mid-rare. I shrugged and just accepted it. My first bite was nothing but SALT. I caught our waitresses attention and told her I was sorry, I don't normally do this, but that the steak was SO salty, it was inedible. She apologized and took my plate. I expected another plate. Instead, my same steak (and by now - cold, sides) returned. My steak was now VERY WELL done and still nothing but SALT. I gave up and ate my cold sides. They did not charge us for the meal... Okay - The service is .... mediocre at best. The final time we went, we had one of the most awful experiences. My food was without flavor. My Husband ordered the Brisket Mac N Cheese and it was this tiny bowl with what looked like.... Canned Mac N Cheese with some BBQ sauce drizzled on it. It was as appetizing as it sounds. The Ladies at the table beside us were also unhappy. In addition to this, our server was horrible. We will not be returning. So...

If comfort food is what you seek, this is your place! Even the salads are "comforting." The menu is loaded with options. Breakfast is served all day and their brisket is very satisfying. In addition to breakfast, you'll find Mexican food, American favorites, Sea food, Country Fried food, Salads, and grilled food. The variety is great, prices are reasonable, and the confort food is fresh abd made to order. Keep in mind that this is comfort food, small, and family owned. You may have to wait longer than your chain restraunts and it's well worth your wait. Visit when you have time (not in a rush) and you'll be pleased. This is a small, family owned place and you will hear KLOVE as you dine. The waitresses were kind as were the customers. Several knew and greeted each other as they entered and excited. They were friendly and welcoming. We were pleased and will return when we're in the area. I'm glad we stumbled upon this place. It was definitely a...

They have changed up the menu but your old fashioned favorites are there. The wife and I decided we wanted chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, they were as large as you expect them to be the crust was lighter which is kind of nice. They were cooked to perfection. I was able to use a butter knife to cut either one. The garlic mashed was delicious as were the greens. We also had corn, they and the greens were swimming in water and the corn was from a can. We also ordered the fried Mushrooms, which came very lightly battered, which is different, but I liked them that way, because the crust didn't bury the flavor of the mushroom. More salt was needed for everything, but that isn't unusual in Kerrville given our aged population, the restaurants tend to use less salt, even though I'm not a big fan of salt these still needed a little bit of salt added.

All in all the food was very good cooked properly and very good...
