Diego Rivera — Restaurant in Kidder Township

We live in South Jersey and my wife kindly threw me a 50th birthday party in Lake Harmony, PA. We had a total of 13 people coming. We reached out to Diego Rivera a few weeks before to see if they would cater. Jose talked to me on the phone and was kind and helpful and full of great suggestions. We began texting back and forth ideas of what food would be the best for the party and what would be best for my budget. We eventually nailed everything down and had a plan for the big day. On the date, we picked it up at 6:30 and everything was ready and freshly made. They greeted us with smiles and even lent us a take-out carrier for us to travel with the food more conveniently. What an unexpected gem! We stumbled upon this place on our way home, and it turned out to be just the perfect meal we needed.

We were seated right away with no wait, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout. We started with the grilled potatoes as an appetizer and some drinks—highly recommend the piña colada! For our mains, we had the Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas, Chicken Enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, and a Caesar salad. Every dish was absolutely delicious including the caesar salad. The enchiladas stood out, especially with the flavorful tomatillo sauce, and the fajitas were equally tasty. The portions were generous—we had plenty of leftovers for dinner.

The ambiance was great too, with a fun arcade game room filled with interesting games that added to the experience.

We stopped at this place for dinner on a road trip, and were so pleasantly surprised. I’m actually so sad I live so far from here because this is likely the best Mexican food I’ve had in the northeast (and I eat a lot of Mexican food)! The food was absolutely incredible, and the presentation was great too. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care, and it’s all delicious. We tried the chicken quesadilla appetizer, the tacos al pastor and tacos tinga, and the steak and chicken fajitas. But I would try everything on this menu.
