Went to dinner 6/28/25. Had never been here before, so wasn't sure what to do. Like a Supper Club, you wait at the bar and you'll be helped. I will say we waited for a good 5 minutes before anyone approached us. But luckily, Fred was huge smiles and took us to the table and took our drink orders. In total it was a party of 3. There's a salad bar that was quite popular, but no one at my table indulged. It took a few more minutes to get the order in. Ended up going with the King Filet mignon and baked potato. There were 6 other tables not including us, and there was great music and lovely conversation. The inside of this place is oddly fascinating. The decor may look outdated, but honestly it's great to browse everything. Service was a bit slow, so if you want to sit and dine right away, this is not a place for you. When we got the food, it was good. The table ordered 2 steaks and chicken Alfredo pasta. Raves on the pasta, was told it was very good. The steak in my opinion could use more seasoning BUT it was cooked beautifully! I ate every bite! Overall, I enjoyed my meal, even if service was slow- maybe they were short staffed? For me the atmosphere was pleasant, and Fred was quite a joy with his big smile as we left! I would dine again, and if you have time, I'd...
Read moreI live only a few blocks away and pass this place every day but I have never been in because I have heard it's weird and haunted. Finally we decided to try it. I started by asking if they had room for two and if they had a highchair for my little one. The bartender was more than happy to accommodate and told me to bring them on in. The atmosphere is.... unique. One of the other reviews described it best as a mix between an antique store and grandma's living room. It is truly bizarre. But on the upside there is plenty of cool stuff to look at. Our service was good not great. Our waiter forgot to ask us our drink orders, and never told us if there were any specials (which I believe there was one) other than that the service was good. The real star of the show was the food. I love a good baked French onion soup and that was on point. Our steaks were cooked properly and were seasoned well. The sight of au jus sauce had us worried briefly, but it was a nice complement. My twice baked potato in a cup was really good. I had no idea what that actually ment but it turned out to be a good gamble. My wife said that she had some of the best shrimp ever. My lobster was very tasty as well. We will definitely be back and I hope to take advantage of the...
Read moreFirst time here. The place is unique! The food was amazing. Had a fruit fly in my old fashioned and a chipped glass in one of the waters, both quickly fixed. We got to explore the second story and look up into the private tower. Would be worth the $10 to get seated up there.
Friendly service, reasonable costs, ample street parking, fast turn around on drinks and food.
This place is confirmed to be haunted. The Victorian oddities and architecture date back to the late 1800's. I could feel a presence on the 2nd story, it didn't seem threatening in any way.
The lights are strange, chain run everywhere, but works considering the ambiance. I'm guessing this place is a fire marshals worst nightmare haha.
You could easily feel the old vibe of the stage, the hotel, the bar... very cool experience! Everyone should experience this...
