Denny's — Restaurant in Kilgore

1.We went for breakfast, about 11 am. It was 44 degrees outside and their air conditioning was running full blast! When I suggested they turn off the air conditioner I was told no one had the key! A couple sitting several booths away was watching and listening to a comedian on their phone, at full volume. The comedian was talking about racial police and using extremely profane language. Everyone sitting anywhere near them were glancing around very uncomfortably. This went on for at least15 mins and Denny’s staff came and went taking orders etc, never saying anything to them. Our food came out and it was barely warm. The eggs were over cooked and the hash browns looked like left overs. I finally asked the wait person to ask the couple to turn off the volume on their phone. She said the Manager would be out to take care of it. Apparently a group sitting closer to the couple had already complained. Eventually a very young woman came out and spoke quietly to the couple and they finally muted their phone. By this time we had finished our terrible meal and I went to pay while my husband went to the restroom. I paid and I was waiting for my husband and the couple came up behind me, obviously leaving and we’re about to pay for whatever they had. I heard the cashier tell them they did not need to pay anything, they, Denny’s had comped them! So this couple offended everyone around them and though we all had to sit uncomfortably and listen to filth. Denny’s decided to COMP them!!! We will not be back though we live near. We also tipped our wait person even though our food was bad and we froze while we were there. Our total bill with tip was $42. I also contacted Denny’s Corp office and have not...

We went to go and celebrate my dads birthday with a free breakfast and well whenever we walked in we were seated pretty fast and the guy taking us to our table was very nice. Our waitress got to us fast and everything and everything was great up until we got our food. Two of us ordered the exact same thing and my mother ordered just the sandwich, well whenever we got out food they forgot my mother’s dipping tomato sauce that was supposed to come with the sandwich, my fathers pancakes were missing, and the fries that came with out with my sisters and my sandwhiches were cold and you could tell our meal had been sitting for a bit, we waited for about 45 minutes for our food maybe even an hour. After about 5 minutes after we got our food we let the waitress know that there were a few things wrong. She left and they brought my father his pancakes and about 10 minutes later the waitress came back and told us that they ran out of tomato soup and was waiting on it to finish making. Well about 10 more minutes past and a different lady each time was bringing the things out that was forgotten and they were super nice and we could tell we were irritating our waitress but we just wanted to get what we wanted and what we were going to pay for. So the tomato that was being made was cold whenever it got to my mom and she just decided to not eat her meal because it was all cold by the time we were all done eating. So she brought us our ticket and forgot to take off my fathers meal and so we went to pay for it and the nice cashier took it off and gave us the CDL discount for my father. She was very nice. I have been eating breakfasts here since 2012 and It seem the service has been getting worse and this morning was the worst I ordered for my wife off of the special menu the lumber jack with the Carmel banana cream pancakes and I pointed at them on the menu and myself the slam and my hash browns were burnt and my wife didn’t get the Carmel banana cream pancakes just regular pancakes and the waitress act like no big deal I just charged you for the regular pancakes but that wasn’t what I ordered, I asked to speak to the manager and she acted like it wasn’t important and no big deal. My wife is a chef so when I take her out to eat it is to be a treat not a disappointment We was there at 10:15am and it was a hour and a half before we got our food and we left at 12:20 and I asked why the service was so slow and was told they are short staffed and they can’t get people to work there and they don’t show up for work I can understand why because of the poor attitude and the I don’t care attitude. Another thing with the meat I got with my meal the bacon was the thinnest I have ever gotten there and the link sausage was the smallest I have ever seen in my life. Before all this happened I was telling my wife that we should come eat the Thanksgiving meal here. I paid $43. For the sorriest meal we have eaten at Dennys and I still left a good tip for waitress.
