Great Wall Cafe — Restaurant in Killeen

"But we NEVER get Chinese!" My husband rolled his eyes at me as we sat together on our bed, feverishly scrolling through our phones to find a place to eat. We'd just moved to Killeen, and had no idea where to go. "Seriously. Every time we go out, you never want Chinese. Why don't you like it? What's wrong?" I didn't answer right away. Why didn't I like Chinese food? My husband absolutely loves it. And, he was right. I never chose Chinese when we ate out as a family. "Okay, fine," I said, typing pointedly at my screen. "We'll get Chinese. What about this place? Great Wall Cafe? Looks... good, I guess." Thirty minutes later, I find myself sitting at a small table in an almost completely empty restaurant while Ariana Grande croons out of one of the only working speakers. "Great," I muttered as we looked over the menu. "This is just great. I hope he's happy with this, because this place is less than ideal." We ordered. We waited. Then our food arrived. Our warm, steaming, delicious food. I could hardly speak, my mouth was so full. "mumis is amazghing," I managed as I put yet another serving of sesame chicken onto my plate. "ihd's so gud!" Even my four-year-old daughter couldn't seem to get enough. We ate until our sides almost split, and yet there was still so much food left on the table! "Perfect," my husband said as we loaded up our to-go boxes. "It's like three meals for the price of one!" We happily paid, and left. Sub par food at best. I ordered my food with their online order form which is uniquely intriguing. From there everything else went downhill. After placing the order I was prompted to call the store to give my credit card information. The first employee I spoke to was the most professional of all their staff. He informed me that it would take 1 hour to 1 and 30 mins for my food to arrive which is completely outrageous considering I paid $61 and change for my meals. After waiting for an hour and 20 mins my food finally arrived. Upon searching the bags I noticed that I did not receive the rice that came with my meals. So I called them back only to be insulted by not just one but two employees. They continued to ask me whether I checked the clear plastic bags they put the food in after I told them I had already removed the food from the bag. After the barrage of insults they finally came to the conclusion that the rice just might not have been put in the bag. they informed me it would be another hour before I would get my rice. Well its been an hour I finally got the rice and Im disappointed to say the least. I got more brown sauce then I got rice. I waited a whole hour to get the worlds smallest cup of rice. If you go to google and type in Styrofoam cups with lids look at images see the one with different sizes lined up you get the smallest for rice and largest for brown sauce. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...

I just wanted wonton soup with sweet n sour chicken. 1/2 rice 1/2 lo mein combo. Everything usually comes in a single Styrofoam container. Rice on the bottom in the big side with lo mein in the 2 smaller parts with chicken on top. But they used the same Styrofoam container to catch the grease for mine that they handed to me. So I got a bumpy scorched from hot grease full of cfcs box of chicken and a small side of rice with a tiny drop of lo mein on top. Just enough to hide the rice. So I started looking for rice while dumping soy into the very pale lo mein. Realized that the rice was under the lo mein. It's the majority of the bowl. So now I've ruined my rice with soy I didn't want on it. I tipped too. My fried noodles for the soup are stale. At least the soup tastes normal. This place changed.... its not for me. I wasted 65 dollars and I'm really hungry. When I called in she told me I could have told her a "side" of rice and a "side" of lo mein and it wouldn't have been shoved into the same box.. how do I know to ask though? When it usually comes in a combo box.... I wouldn't. Also, the amount of melted Styrofoam is concerning. I'm not eating it. I...
