Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Called ahead because we had 10 people. We wanted to make sure they could handle a large party on Sunday morning around 9 am. They tell us, yes if you come. now we can handle it. We jump in the car and arrive 15 mins later. They seat us right away. Another large party showed up as we did and got seated just after us. Our waitress was friendly. She took our drink order, and brought them out to us. She took our order for food around 9:30. Everything was really smooth up to that point. As we waited for our food, we watched every table around us get their food. Pay their bill and leave. Several of those tables arrived long after we did. We were patient because we were a large party and know sometimes that can be a challenge. At roughly 45 mins later we asked about our food. The waitress told us that half of the food was on the griddle and the other half was done and we would have our food in 5 to 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, we asked if it was about done thinking half our food was sitting getting cold, she said five or 10 more minutes again. 15 minutes after that she came back and said it was gonna be another 10 minutes. The large group that checked in after we did, ordered their food, ate their food, paid their bill, and left. That was about a quarter till 11. We got up and left never even got to see our food. The people around us all appeared to get served and there food looked good....
Read moreWow. We stopped here on our way to Table Rock Lake. Based on the pictures of the menu, I figured they'd have food for everyone in our group. We were greeted by our waitress, Jenny, with a big smile and shown to our table. She was quick to get everyone their drinks while we looked over the menu. My mother in law got the Sloppy Joe, which was the special of the day, and she said it was great. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and almost finished the whole thing - which is a lot compared to her normally eating half or less of her meal. My oldest son got the cheeseburger and said it was almost better than his favorite burger from a spot at home (shot out to Buck's in Venice, NE). My youngest got the chicken tenders and I got the fried chicken sandwich. I'm not sure what they're doing at Ma's with their chicken, but I hope they never change a thing. The breading was light but crunchy and the chicken was juicy. My youngest is quite the picky eater but he devoured his food. He wants to go back and try the fried chicken dinner. Jenny checked in multiple times during our meal to make sure drinks were topped off and to see if there was anything else she could do. She even got to talking about fishing with my kids, who were excited about hitting the lake for some fishing. This is a fantastic little greasy spoon spot and I hope we make it back sometime to try...
Read moreWe went to Ma's on Friday 10/11 like we do at least every month. We left the house at 5:20 and walked in at 5:40 pm. They weren't overly crowded but they had half the restaurant shut off. We stood and waited to be seated for several minutes while I was looking at all the empty tables. The waitress called us from the seating area and put our menus down. We looked over the menu and waited for her to come take our order. After 10-15 minutes she takes our food and drink order. We sit and wait like usual. After about 50 minutes without an update from the waitress I let her know I needed to get to Ace before they close at 7. She said she had told us it would be 45 minutes or so. I tell her I'm sorry but she didn't mention that and she looks to my wife who also shakes her head bc we werent told. No big deal, we will just eat it at home. Everything was fine until her and 2 or 3 in the kitchen started talking bad about us and making rude remarks about the time stamp on the receipt and what not. I was polite and patient and they had nothing but nasty comments and attitudes. I'm sorry I asked you to put my food in a box to go. They just lost a regular...
