Business overview Jj’s is my regular spot for authentic Mexican food/ tacos . A family restaurant. Owned and operated by family where they make you like family . The building is small but seating is available inside and outside. All their food is fresh and home made . The prices aren’t ent bad they have deals and specials make sure you give them a visit . They do not have a fountain drink machine . they do offer clover rewards for a free churro.
Queso biria- I have had the queso birria with consume , carne asada tacos , and burger and fries , The quseo birria was so good the consumer wasn’t salty and had a great flavor profile . Even with having left overs it was good even the next day . My husband loved the queso birria that when we went to a my Mexican restaurant he orders the queso birria but he gets sad because it’s not like jj’s .
Carne asada- The carne street asada tacos I get 7 for 15$ I always get that , I love it . It’s very authentic and the sides I put on them are fresh and made daily , their homemade sauces are so delicious it makes me happy when I eat them , I have had them several times , inconsistency isn’t Jj s tacos and burgers style , They don’t have a lot of fat in them so you can actually enjoy your food . Out of 7 tacos I normally get 0-2 small fat pieces. My husband is a Taco Bell guy but once he had some carne asada tacos from jj’s he was no longer a Taco Bell guy .
Burger and fries . Their fries are good and are seasoned . The burger was good I wasn’t a big fan of the patty but the buns were crispy on the edges perfectly toasted . My husband loved the burger and he ate the fries he never eats...
Read moreDisgusting is kind. That’s in reference to the food and the cashier’s judgmental attitude. The atmosphere was grotesque. That’s in reference to the flying insects. The seating area can fit 8 very uncomfortably. When I first go to a new place I sometimes ask what’s the top selling item. I’ll often buy it. The lady decided to be rude and respond dryly with “tacos and burgers.” I tried to laugh it off. BUT no. Not today, Satan. Satan being me. Because for some reason I was the anti-Christ to this female. Okay, I showed up an hour to closing. I get it. I still gave an unwarranted tip since tip was demanded at the tablet before food was even provided.
It was dine in, but the cashier decided we were leaving right away. She put everything in to-go boxes. We sat down to eat. The carne was mostly fat. Sour cream tasted expired. Fries were super dry. Zero condiments even when asked. I asked for a refund. She didn’t know how to do a refund. I did not know how to understand that. She ended up giving me cash for a third of the order. We left before closing. Just a horrible experience all around. This is one of those ‘if you know trash when you see it then you know it’s trash’...
Read moreAsada fries… fries were over cooked and bitter. It was all I could taste. Hardly any toppings. Salsa was flavorless and very watery. Red salsa tasted like tomato juice. I hate when they squirt sour cream and guacamole in lines across the meal rather than putting a good heap of both on top. I prefer a taqueria with my tacos made complete. They had onion and cilantro mixed together when there are people who like one and not the other. With that, there was hardly any cilantro. Place was dirty and walking in doors seeing bathrooms right away turned me off. Also, they shouldn’t have a wall blocking the kitchen so we can see our food being made. Overall, kinda gross and not worth the money. The meat was ok so I gave 2...
