Hong Kong Buffet — Restaurant in Kingsford

The food is really great there, its sanitary (even being in a medium sized town like Iron Mountain where if you look inside of other buildings you'll find some kinda off-putting stuff), and the staff there is wonderful. It's a great place for meat lovers n vegetable lovers alike (I'm not vegan but maybe more vegan-friendly options would be better for those that are) I myself enjoy foods with mushrooms in it, though mushrooms aren't extremely popular I don't think; personally my favorite food within mushrooms there is Beef n Mushroom. It's got perfectly seasoned, and moist Roast beef [i.e the good kind of moist, not soggy, it's just really easy to chew, which is helpful for people who wear dentures and like meat, or don't really got teeth in general. If you got an itch for chicken dinners, well they got all kinds of chicken, ranging from sweet n sour chicken (which in my opinion it tastes similar to the chicken nuggets from McDonald's, but each people taste things different I suppose) and it goes all the way to Jalapeno Chicken which has just the right amount of spice, not to the point it gags you, but nor is it batted down so it has a tiny bit...

Decent restaurant that could be a Wonderful Chinese buffet but for one thing... Ridiculous amounts of sugar in my dishes. The pepper chicken was almost indecency sweet. Several other dishes tasted strongly of sugar. Honestly, almost everything but the seafood dishes, the green beans, and the vegetables tasted strongly of sugar. Its like rating Chinese Lucky Charms.

Admittedly I'm a diabetic and I'm sensitive to sugar, but this was more sugar than any Chinese restaurant I've ever experienced. Their food would be amazing if it wasn't so candy sweet. A restaurant that could be great but it's just average.

Service. Server brought our drinks. Never once came back and checked on us. She sat chatting with.another server eating her lunch 3 booths away from us.

Consequence. Zero tip. When checking out, she looked and our receipt, looked angry and walked away from the register without a word. Tips should be earned. Not a word from her as...

My family and friends have visited this restaurant since its opening day - which is around 17 or 18 years. We have never had a bad experience! The food is consistently impressive, the staff is amiable, and the service is incomparably earmarked. The place is clean, well-kept, and well-put, from tables to utensils, buffet, and restrooms. Every other Hong Kong Buffet restaurant is an immense dismay compared to the Kingsford, Michigan restaurant. I would rather drive 40 minutes to Kingsford, Michigan, than be paid to eat at the Marquette Michigan or other competition. My favorite dish on the buffet is somewhat concealed.
