We were in the area for the week coming from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My wife and I look to visit independent coffee shops every week to help support small businesses. Today we stopped at this cool, rock'n'roll inspired shop. The music history is prevalent as memorabilia covers the walls and display cases. Makes for a super fun experience.

Entering the shop you are welcomed by a sidewalk painted like piano keys, as clue into the theme. The shop was pretty busy during our visit, with a friendly pair of staff that offered great suggestions and help.

My wife and I went with a couple of their house specialty offerings. She picked a Red, White, and Blueberry Latte with housemade blueberry syrup. The blueberry was more subtle than others we've tried, leaving a more simplified oatmilk latte experience. I went with their Summer Thyme latte with their honey/vanilla/thyme syrup. It was very tasty with the thyme adding a nice herbal kick. Cole opted for an Americano (pour overs are not available yet). The drink had a velvety profile, almost with a caramel/chocolate taste.

We also grabbed one of their Coffeeberry Iced Tea for the road. First time we've seen a tea made from the coffee cherry. I'd say the taste is a blend of black tea and green tea, with a little natural sweetness to it. Pretty good overall.

This shop is a nice little spot with some great history and decor. The staff are great and they are quick to respond via social...

We stopped by on Saturday at 1:50 PM to grab some coffee. The shop closes at 2:00, and since they’re closed on Sundays, this was our only chance to visit — especially because we’re big fans of 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mudd. Unfortunately, the staff couldn’t have been less welcoming. It was clear they were annoyed that we came in ten minutes before closing. We even apologized to the cashier for coming in close to closing time, but she didn’t say a single word — just gave us attitude.

The memorabilia inside was really cool and worth seeing, but that was the only positive part of the visit. The customer service was terrible, and the drinks had an odd, off taste. Really disappointing...

We went out of our way to visit Greg's Rockin' Goat Coffee simply because I wanted to find a good coffee roaster in the area. And we are so glad we found Greg's! Shortly after we ordered, Greg's mom came over to greet us and introduce herself. She is the kindest person and so friendly and informative (gave us some tips for things to do in the area). We had excellent coffee, a tasty sandwich, and purchased some coffee beans for home. We met Greg on the way out and he is as friendly and personable as his mom...and very passionate about making great tasting sustainably sourced organic coffee! I highly recommend Greg's if you are anywhere near Kingston. You will not be...

Greg's place is the coolest place in town. It's nestled in humble downtown Kingston. It has great staff, good coffee, and is a great place to socialize with other locals. When I go into town to pick up some building supplies, I like to stop by and grab a latte and a pastry. It has a cool vibe that is indeed "rockin". I happened to run into Greg when he had some free time he treated me and a couple to some stories about his life rocking with 3 doors down and hanging out with Chris Cornell, and even gave us a little tour of his roasting area. His coffee is fresh from a partner who runs a farm in Bolivia. It is indeed a must to stop by here in Kingston!

I visited here without knowing the story of who the owner was; we were just there for coffee from a place that wasn't a chain. Turns out that I was in the coffee shop of the drummer from one of the bands I listened to a lot in my teenage and early adult years, so that was a cool bonus. The turkey croissant sandwich was amazing, the London Fog was tasty, and I enjoyed looking at everything on the walls. As a casual drummer, I wish I had brought my drumsticks for the owner to sign 😁 If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely go back!
